I am totally on both sides of this, I am schizophrenic. On the one hand I totally agree with you. Edward Snowden for example I was furious with him and saw him as a traitor. On the other hand I see Snowden is a hero for letting us know we are all being so extensively spied on.
Some poet once said, “Do I contradict myself? Very well I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes.” I think it might have been Walt Whitman.

When government is being used against the people it represents, then I have no problems with someone exposing the dirt and showing us just how corrupt those that work for us are.
Our government is bound by the constitution. They don't have the right to trash the constitution then hide it behind classified documents.
