Ryan was such a disappointment. The Media, and the Democrats are already assuming they will get the House, and maybe the Senate. Let's make that NOT HAPPEN.

I tend to think that it isn't so much Ryan as the disagreements within the Republican Party. I do not believe anyone could do what each person wants because if you can get it out in the open, various groups of Republicans want different things.

After seeing the debacle of the recent congressional spending, I'm struggling to figure out what would be the problem with a Dem congress. Obamacare - not withdrawn. Annual budget - failed. Reduced spending - failed.
If anyone can tell me what the current congress(HR) has done right, I'm ready to listen.

They weren't a Democrat Congress. Although I'm not sure they qualified as a Republican Congress either.

A good nominee was approved to the SCOTUS. Can’t see that happening if a Dem congress were in power. You recall how livid they were they didn’t get a chance to approve Obama’s choice?
Also, the congressional rules made dumping Obamacare pretty much impossible. Besides, Trump was equally at fault.
Otherwise, yeah, fiscal responsibility totally gone. :'(

Yeah, I was a peeved at the $1.3T budget too, but:
The other day I heard the AG of W. Virginia say that under the previous regime, he was filing lawsuits against the Obama administration almost daily. These days he doesn't file any. That tells me something.
The Dems would never have appointed Gorsuch.
The Dems would never have passed the tax cuts. (I still hold hope this will increase production, employment and Federal tax revenue in the long run).
The Dems would never stand up to N.K. China or Russia. N.K. now says they are open to talks, China is talking about opening up trade, and we will see what happens with Russia.
The Dems would have given us even MORE O'Care (or single payer)
The list goes on.

I don't believe it. That is what the Media wants us to think so we stay home. The economy continues to improve, as does the unemployment rate. That is the message that needs to be told, yet the media still yells about Stormy Russia.

Besides, the CNN/WashPo/NYT/CBS/NBC/ABC/MSNBC etc has told us EVERYONE hates Trump and that Americans really want liberal control of the country.

Not really looking at the polls, going by what I'm hearing and reading. A lot of moderates are rather pissed at the Republicans for being complete morons when it came to accomplishments. Important things, things that needed to be done, didn't get done because they were all too stubborn to agree to win. WTH would we re-elect them?

People that know what the liberals will do if they regain control. Such as more gun control, repeal of the tax cuts, more regulations, etc.

Ryan actually would have kept his seat if he won. They love him here, and it was his for as long as he wanted it. He may not have remained speaker, but he could have remained a congressman.

Wait. I thought the moderates were pissed because the Executive and Congress was too Republican, i.e. too racist, homophobic, etc. Are you saying moderates would be happier if Ryan and McConnell actually pulled off more of Trump’s agenda like killing ObamaCare, building the wall, killing the Dreamers preferred status, stopping immigration from countries that sponsor terror, etc.?

It didn't have anything to do with Democrats refusing en-mass to approve anything the Rs tried to pass, did it?

Unless you listen to FOX exclusively, you are hearing what the MSM wants you to hear. That message is then reflected in the polls.
