No doubt I'll be excoriated for pointing out the the Democrats are still in the minority in the House and will continue to best until next month.  I might also point out that they can't unilaterally do much without the cooperation of the GOP controlled Senate.

 Of course.

But, it shows their intent which is horribly misguided.

Remember, Harry Reid thought it was a great idea to do away with the 60 vote rule on confirmations.  Look at how that came back to haunt them.

I’m not quite sure this really makes any difference and I don’t understand the big deal. Does this just mean they now only need a majority rule for a tax increase to come out of Committee?  The House has always been majority rule for its floor votes.

Currently the house needs 3/5ths super majority vote to pass any new tax increases.  That's been lowered to a simple majority.  Since they hold the majority, then with the new rule they don't need any republican votes.  Of course, getting it through the senate and the WH is a whole 'nother thing.

But these dumbasses, just like Harry Reid, don't realize what they are doing will come back to bite them.  Apparently they believe they will be in control of the house from now on.

This isn't even a real issue. The Democrats have the right to change the rules for the chamber(s) they control as they see fit. Republicans lost the House so this shouldn't be a surprise. This article is really overplaying the issue. The Democrats can vote on whatever they want in the House but it has to make it past the Senate, and tax increases won't do that. This just gives the Democrats something to campaign on by saying, "See! We're trying to pass legislation but the Senate Republicans won't let us!"

Also, they cite Pelosi's hyperbole when she called the tax reform act Republicans passed "armageddon" but then say that the Democrats changing the House rules (not even something into law) a "disaster". Breathe, everyone.

Oh, gee, we are all so ignorant here.  Thanks for coming in and regurgitating what has already been posted.   ::)

Breathe, everyone.

 Comprehend, you.

Is it only to pass increases or to pass any changes in tax laws?  Theoretically the change can be used in the future to pass tax decreases.  Not that it would ever happen, but nice to think about.

And of course you guys are all happy to see the US sink into even more debt while the R's are in charge.  Its only wrong when the D's are in charge.

Personally, not happy at all. I believe Trump is not happy with it either. When you do not pass a budget any longer and make the country function on CRs done at the last minute, you've kind of forced the President's hand in signing it.

Trump is nowhere near the debt Obama ran up.  Still I have made it know to my legislators, and the White House (Trump) that I am NOT HAPPY with the level of spending the R's are doing either.  Trump did promise he wouldn't sign another budget like last years, but he wanted to correct what Obama had done to the military.

Your never ending, low information, bullshit is only eclipsed by the furious stupidity that forces you to deliver such ignorance to begin with.

We understand that you have been brainwashed to hate us. We know you have little free will to think for yourself.

It is obvious that you have zero ability to examine issues and come to reasonable conclusions.

We see how psychotically you hate PRESIDENT Donald TRUMP for winning the election.

What else are you trying to prove?

I don't know for sure what you mean by that, but the national debt has increased under Trump.

I mean the total amount the debt increased under Obama.  Not that it hasn't increased.  Yes, it is still increasing.  No shit.

Can you point to ANY EVIDENCE that any (much less "all") of "us guys" are happy about that?

I didn't think so.

But I will admit to not hating defense spending or border protection and law enforcement as much as I hate overly generous handout programs.
