This is something you rarely see. A socialist and a classical liberal and, well I can’t put it better than this person down in the comment section:
This was a riveting dialogue...two intelligent and curious 'gentle-men' engaging in reasonable thought with their egos sitting quietly on the sidelines.
It’s long, an hour and a half, but well worth it. I listen to stuff like this with hands free Bluetooth while doing mindless menial chores.
Here is a leftist who listens openly to the other side without hate, and Peterson makes clear that both liberals and conservatives are necessary for a functioning society. Brand asks, “how do you fix the injustices in society without top down control?” (I’m paraphrasing.) and Jordan responds, “at the level of the individual, not with group politics” and that we must maintain freedom of speech and open dialogue between the left and right, otherwise tyranny (from either side!) will take over.
This is so much better than Sean Hannity tearing up and talking over a liberal guest, or liberal talk show host talking over a conservative guest and then telling her to get the fuck out. (Whoopi Goldberg to Judge Jeanine.)
