Seriously? Wow, didn't know til now I had a buddy sharing the misery. Getting ready to shower and leave for my 10:30 procedure. Have to arrive at 9:15. I'll be clean as a whistle inside and out.

It occurs to me that if the Aussie government really did this (I'm certain they have the same lunatic fringe that puts forth nonsense just like we do), technology companies could respond by not selling their products there. If they really value their customer's privacy they could do that while oddly screaming about it. They might loose some money, but the trust they could generate would offset that by a billion.

Well the video is but that link from Jim led to some pretty official looking documents.
I do picture the internet being completely ruined eventually. We are now living in the Golden Age of internet freedom. Pretty much still. Of course the Overlords are going to try to control all of it, that's what overlords do, and they will use the excuse that some teenage drug addicts are selling sexual favors for dope, therefore all the rest of us have to give up our privacy. (That's the justification used on page 1 of the bill.)
I'm sure it's coming sooner or later, the government along with every corporation and every criminal will have potential access to all your passwords and every tiny detail of your life AND your thoughts. There will be lame protections but nobody ever abuses those do they? (That was sarcasm)
