Actually no, I use that phrase to mean that the belief is non-falsifiable for that person. In the this case, by Rush’s own admission. That means it is pointless to discuss further with that person because here is no evidence that exists which would ever falsify the belief. And I think it is a good thing when a person who has such beliefs is up front about it. It reduces waste of time and keeps the discussion more polite.

Let me ask Becky if you can name any evidence, which could exist in principle, which would persuade you that the amount of fraud which existed in the 2020 presidential election did not affect the outcome?

Yes. A complete redo of the 2020 election as soon as possible, at the time, using only paper ballots, requiring ID, and one-day counting would have been ideal but of course doesn’t exist. It could still be done, but has not been and here we are facing another election with most of the cheat mechanisms still in place.

Don’t forget that the bulk of the cheat was made through controlling voting machine data in real time, in selected states and selected precincts where people were put in place to carry out the cheat in real time. However, they could not outsmart real time. President Trump’s lead was so great that the jumps in counts in those precincts were seen by the world. Literally, the world knows President Trump won. The frantic rush to produce paper ballots to back up the millions of fake votes was seen by the world. Testimonies were given, hundreds of them, by election workers from those selected precincts where the cheat happened, including by representatives of Dominion who testified they were told on election night to sit away from the counting activity and were not allowed to observe or monitor the activity of the machines in any way.

The passage of time has made it harder to find or even access these testimonies because there is a constant scrubbing of them from the internet.

I could be convinced the 2020 election was not stolen if every deposition, testimonial, video, election official statement, voting machine data and ballot were unearthed and examined with extreme focus and with bipartisan observers documenting each finding.

As well, let analysis and concrete backup explain the dozen or more statistics, such as Biden losing the bellwether counties and the differentials in registered voters vs. ballots counted, that prove the outcome was not merely statistically improbable, but impossible.

It is understandable on account of the caffeine. I’m a mess before my coffee. Nothing makes any sense at all. The simplest concept flies over my head like a SR-71.

Hey, anytime I can be on a list with you and username is a good day. Esteemed company for me.

Our political leadership and government in general is doing just about all the wrong things with the major issues we currently face. The border, the illegal immigrant invasion, Ukraine, Israel, climate change actions/fossil fuel, etc. Every move is wrong. All of it. Utterly ridiculous.

and, of course, we should believe all the gems flowing from Putin's mouth and his propaganda machine...

No, but we should hear all sides so we can form opinions.

Spin Zone / Nikki Loses To NONE OF THE ABOVE in Nevada

This election primary season has got to out do all the past ones for hilarity and craziness.

Nikki came in a distant second in Nevada last night to NONE OF THE ABOVE. That has to leave a mark.

If y’all are talking about 2016, I too didn’t like the Donald.  I didn’t vote for him in the primary. Sensing Florida was getting ready to lean red again, I voted for Marco Rubio.  I wasn’t crazy about any of the choices. To my mind, anybody but Hillary, and for some reason I thought Rubio could beat her. I was probably wrong, and never imagined Trump would win. That election night was the happiest of my life.  I suppose I should say, excepting my wedding night or the birth of my children.

I was positive that Donald Trump would win in 2016 after hilary made her basket of deplorable pronouncement. Nothing was funnier than surfing around the networks watching anchors in tears.

So then this would only apply to cases where the courts are actually corrupt, the people are innocent, and one or both parties are involved in politics?

As I noted above, I inherently have little sympathy for politicians. Most of them are involved in violating our rights in one fashion or another and if for that they were violently punished, I would not have a problem.
I would extend the definition of lawfare to anyone abusing the court system to ruin someone else.  The government has very deep pockets (essentially infinite), and they can bring any charge against any person.  And that person will spend thousands of dollars and years fighting those charges.  Like the US government is throwing charges at Trump to derail his candidacy.  He has to spend his own money fighting it while the government is spending OUR money fighting him.

Today, that would be considered criminal sexual assault. And worse, today, a 70 year old woman could recall that incident (accurately or not) and drag the poor guy, now an old man himself, into court over something that happened a half century ago. That’s what it’s come to and it is wrong on so many levels.

And then be sued for defamation when he says that it never happened, she's a nutcase, and besides, she's not his type.  Having a biased judge and jury doesn't help.  I'm VERY glad that I'm not dating in today's world.  Can't ask a girl out or be hit with sexual assault.  Can't tell if it's really a girl.  Can't ask if it's a girl.
Quote
Before the second trial got underway, the judge ruled that Carroll was telling the truth about the assault, and that Trump's statements denying her claims were defamatory. The jury was tasked only with deciding what damages Carroll was entitled to receive.

Talking to the city folks, there's a disconnect between the rural people who do stuff with dirt and plants and animals and the food that is all nicely laid out in their Whole Foods Store.  The groceries look nothing like anything they see from 30,000 feet as they fly to their summer homes on the other coast.  A steak looks nothing like a cow, so there's no thought about all the effort that goes into ranching.  Or farming.  Or fishing.

We should do what France is doing and show No Farmers, No Food.

He's spot on.  It is Authoritarian Elite versus Libertarian (just leave me alone and let me live my life types).  The Metro area Elite (cities, burbs and now ex-burbs) hate anyone that doesn't think exactly like them, and want to control others and FORCE them to capitulate, conform and submit to their rules.  Again, it's why they hate that legal citizens can own guns.

It's not accidental that the people they hate are the actual producers of the food, electricity, housing, transportation, etc. etc. without us they couldn't survive in their cities and burbs.  They despise the dependency which is just under the surface of their conscious awareness.

Who would have thought steel toe boots would be a good thing to wear at the RC field?  And chain mail gloves?   Maybe a face shield?  ;D

Of course, what was I thinking?  Or maybe it's more like, "only if their accusee is not liberal".

Sorry to read of it happening. Sounds like he's been dealt a bad hand. Expect premiums on your RC airplane insurance to go up or even be denied for the next three years. He might be forced to fly naked.

My wife is having her Neuro stimulator installed today. The prep nurse was swapping for MRSA and I asked if they tested for COVID. She said no, very few hospitalizations and the symptoms are usually slight.  I said, you mean like a cold and she chuckled.  I think I like her.
