What prevents Trump from vetoing any appropriations bill that does not include Wall funding?

He can.

Politically it's a no win situation.  People bellyache about the President, but they forget it's the 435 members of congress who, for the most part are career politicians.  And it's those career politicians that controls appropriations and spending.

George Wallace once said "There's not a dimes worth of difference between the republicans and democrats."

I fear you will be right. I had been hoping it would happen but I'm getting concerned and if he doesn't do it he will definitely lose in 2020.

It would be terrible if his biggest legacy is "Read my lips, I will build the wall." And then like Bush...

Biff is showing his ignorance, yet once again.

The current President prefers to operate within the confines of the constitution. The previous President ignored the constitution, and people like Paul Ryan were complicit to allow it to happen.

Trump has both Democrats and republicans opposing him. Remember, it was both Ryan and McConnell that kept the wall funding out of the budget.   They had the votes, but refused to send it through.

If the President diverted funds the screaming and lawsuits would fly.  Guarantee that multiple suits would be filed in the 9th and every other liberal court.

When you look at the things that the President has accomplished, even in the face of tough opposition it’s fairly remarkable.

The msm will hang the wall around Trump’s neck in 2020, and it’s by design by both the R’s and D’s are preventing it.  They block it, the MSM hypes it and small minded people think it’s Trump’s fault.

Don't sign a funding bill without wall money in it - exactly. Alternately, divert money from all the shit going on in Afghanistan to the US/Mexico border - exactly. Charge an intl tariff on all money exiting the US via money service companies for the wall, and start building - exactly.

Our govt spends $7 MILLION per MINUTE. It's a matter of priorities. Trump gave very, very vocal priority to the wall in 2016. By late 2017, and into this year -- Wall?? Wall? Whatchutalkinboutwillis..... Plus, now the Dreamers are  'Great, great group of people!' according to a Trump tweet. Hmmmm, no longer are they illegal aliens, now they're Great People.

Ok, so the answer is you really are clueless to how appropriations work.

Lots of bravado with little to no substance.

Next.....

You are aware of how appropriations work, aren’t you?

Something along the lines of "Bush had class, something lacking in the current president".

He was quoted a couple of times, but it looks like they finally got around to cleaning up all those posts too.

except for one.

Maybe they should rename to “Drama Pilots of America”

ALL Republicans at all levels need to find their balls. I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Unfortunately it’s not going to happen.  Look at all of the elections recently where the election flipped weeks after the election.

See the republicans challenging these?   Nope.

It's a big money maker for too many well connected businessmen who employ really good lobbyist as well as make huge campaign donations.

To date, the US has sunk over $800 BILLION (let that number sink in for a few) into Afghanistan.  The military contingent is actually not that large over there, but what is huge is the logistics network made up of civilian contractors.  Many companies have become hugely successful thanks to their Afghanistan contracts, those contracts paid with our tax dollars.

This is what bogged us down in VietNam, this and the ineptitude of the government and congress.  Lots of companies were making big money on contracts in VN and wanted that war to keep going, and did.

Here is a followup on this:

Notice this story didn't make the MSM?

With money flowing like this, now you see why that war continues.

That is blatant fraud and election stealing. We are fucked.

I said it before.....this election was the trial run for 2020.

You've now seen a few examples of how elections are overturned.  This will be on steroids come 2020.

I wonder if Carter, Bush jr, Clinton and Obama and Trump will all attend his funeral and be photographed together

From what I read the President and his wife will attend.  I haven’t seen anything on the Obamas or the Carters.

At least she did it in response to a post that dissed Trump.  I would have come back with a much stronger rebuttal to Bob Gardner's jab at Trump.

Gardner is a pompass dick.

My response was to how any talk of the President triggers Mari.

Mari is already warning people not to bring up Trump in the thread:

Do not let this thread veer into a discussion of the current President.

What a freakin’ lowlife.

We can certainly hope for the progressives to show some civility for the next few days and acknowledge the man and his accomplishments, his duty and love for country and most important, his love and devotion to family.

The cracks are already forming, but we can hope some would put aside politics, if just for a short time.

There is a lot going on right now, most of it is being kept very quiet.

Notice the fervor of the Mueller investigation?  The desperation is racking up.

Also notice how desperate the dims are to oust the acting AG?  Also notice the diatribes of people like Brennan and Comey.  Add in Comey fighting to keep from being questioned behind closed doors.

Now that Sessions is gone and not obstructing the DoJ, lots of the bad actors from the FBI/DoJ are getting real nervous.

Just reading the tea leaves, look for when Mueller finally publishes his conclusion to be very nasty towards Trump and filled with half truths and innuendo, all done to try to smear the President.  It's all they have left.

Also look for when that happens for thousands of documents to be declassified (by the President) that will show what really went on, and don't be surprised to see several indictments come down.

If you watch Trump and understand his methodology, you will understand he doesn't show his hand first.  He has some really nasty evidence against Comey, Rosenstein, Brennan, Lynch, Holder and the other bad actors.
