...People become afflicted with the Topper syndrome.
first it was no gatherings larger than 250... then 50... then 25... then 10... and then 6. I've talked with people that believe that the max meeting size should be zero (yes, they really said "zero").
We've seen the we-need-to-stay-closed-until date contest. Some are saying through May, some have extended closures into June or July. Some are telling us not to expect schools to open in September.... to the future and beyond!
Friday, some senators proposed legislation to see the CARES ACT $1200 payment and raise it to a $2000 monthly payment until the COVID-19 crisis is over.

At first I thought: great, the government will declare victory so that it doesn't have to keep spending trillions every month. Then I realized that the moroons in the Senate (yup, not narrowing it done much, eh?) want universal income forever.

Tin foil hats? Conspiracy theories? The vast right wing conspiracy? Preppers? Militias?
All now coming true. Yet people sit back and nod mindlessly, Virus Bad, we must comply, Government good, give us money.... I feel like in a 70's dystopian future movie. Where's Charlton Heston when you need him? Or at least Bert Reynolds with his Bow?
