Of course not. He would've never gotten elected had he run on a gun confiscation campaign. Instead they word it as "common sense gun safety measures" to make those who disagree look like they're against gun safety.
This is definitely a question for POA to ponder.
And I accept that. Lord knows I get things wrong all the time.
It's just that when you drop a one-liner like: "surviving is good thing, avoiding the need to pull the chute is even better." it sure leaves the door open to all sorts of interpretation, because the statement on its own is so obvious on its face as to not need stating.
My point is not that a chute could have saved any or all of them, though it might have. My point is that even highly skilled and experienced pilots can have huge lapses in judgment or skill or whatever, and find themselves in life threatening situations. It's hubris to think that any given pilot, present company included, is somehow exempt.

I'd say overall, that's a good thing.
The abject fear expressed by some of another's belief system or faith has never made any sense to me - how another's belief system can be seen as so personally threatening as to drive the irrational, mean-spirited and petty reactions on display are just inexplicable.

Really? How do you feel about ISIS? They are 100% all about faith, just not the one you subscribe to.
Congress never fixed the problem that caused the crash in the first place, and the Obaminator did little to spur them on. They're all owner by Wall Street anyway. It'll happen again. I think the current jitters are in response to China, though.
