I want to buy some but I have no idea how to.  I’ve never bought a stock directly.

Buying at an IPO is problematic even for seasoned speculators. As a first time buyer of a stock? Have you studied the prospectus? Or just going with a hunch or emotion? DJT is up over 40% from its opening price as I type this. It could go higher, but check the performance of the last 200 IPOs:

I have some play money I inherited from my mother in her IRA.  Have to take a minimum amount out each year.  My wife and I picked a bunch of stocks and invested $1500 in each a couple years ago just to see what happens.  So far the War stocks are doing well.  As are the stocks like WalMart and DraftKings that do well when the economy sucks.  38 shares won't pay for a new Cirrus, but I won't be too upset if the stock crashes either.  Mostly it's to tweak my very democrat sister.

I have just a little in a Schwab account.  They are pretty easy to use to buy and sell stocks.  You can get into some fancy trading, but I'm more of a buy and hold for a long time investor.

Of course not.

How long before fuckwad nyc charges President Trump with overvalued stock?

I fucking hate democrats. They have become a sickness. Not a political party.

I did it.  I told my husband I wanted to buy $500 worth of that new Truth Social stock and he said, “Make it a thousand.”  Screw figuring out how to buy a stock myself.  I just emailed our investment guy and directed him to buy us $1000 of Trump’s new Truth Social stock and I told him, no, I don't care if it’s not a good investment. I just want to play!

HA!

It might be time to double-down.  ^DJT is around $50 right now, but there is going to be a lot of volatility with this stock.  Disappointing earnings just came out and mot people sell on news.  It'll probably go down more before popping but trying to call the bottom (or top) is a crap shoot. Best bet is to go with your gut for the long term.

In about 6 months the restriction on selling by Trump and other insiders will expire, at which time there would be a sharp drop in price.

I’m just doing it for the adrenaline rush of the roller coaster ride.
