Just for the sake of conversation, let's say the US erupts into a civil war, and the blue states decide to secede from the union and create their own liberal/progressive environmentally friendly utopia.
Of course, there will be a mass migration of conservatives from those states relocating to the free states.
So where will their (blue state union) money come from? Of course they can just raise the taxes, create universal income and universal healthcare. They will have the silicon valley, Wall Street as well as some forms of manufacturing.
They'll save money by not having any police departments to fund, and of course no military to fund.
Think they'll have open borders? Sanctuary cities?

The estimates for deaths due to violence during the Partition of India (one possible analogous event) range from 200,000 to 2,000,000. The population of India in 1947 was about 390 million. [1] Roughly same order of magnitude to current U.S. population.
Such a partition would result in violence and large scale economic hardship. And history suggests the attempted cure would not result in the desired goal.

The Blue state leadership and their blue minions need something and someone from which to LEECH. Their model can not work as an independent, separate entity (country).

But they keep saying if they just raise taxes on the rich, they can offer universal healthcare. Also, if they pay universal income all of their citizens will have better lives, and will contribute more (taxes) to the system.

A liberal utopian state would devolve into insane violence and anarchy faster than a barack obama promise gets broken. The only way a liberal utopia could exist is for the liberal (communist) leaders to slaughter everyone that disagrees with whatever lies they are babbling at any given time and that destroys the working class, so you are left with shit like sharpton and omar, which is to say useless, assholes, without a clue about how to produce anything of value.

Yes, they say that, and tax evil corporations more (whom are ALL LEFTIST today, but whatever). However, they KNOW very well that that won't generate nearly enough revenue and they will go after the Middle Income Earner through Income redistribution based on the Green New Deal.

So if they create their new utopia, shouldn't they become the new world super power?
1) Will they leave the borders open?
2) When people enter illegally, will they be welcome? And will they get everything the citizen gets?
