Nick Saban tested positive for covid-19... followed by 3 negative tests.
Kind of makes me wonder how many of the positive test results were actually false positives.

Interesting. It could be that it was a true positive followed by three false negatives... where the false negative rate could be as high as 33%. With results like these, it's hard to believe what to believe.
From "The Lancet":
Globally, most effort so far has been invested in turnaround times and low test sensitivity (ie, false negatives); one systematic review reported false-negative rates of between 2% and 33% in repeat sample testing. Although false-negative tests have until now had priority due to the devastating consequences of undetected cases in health-care and social care settings, and the propagation of the epidemic especially by asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic patients,
the consequences of a false-positive result are not benign from various perspectives (panel), in particular among health-care workers.

From "The Lancet":
Even at 33% false negative, the chance of 3 false negatives in a row is 0.33*0.33*0.33 ≈ 0.036 or 3.6%.

Yeah... I just realized I didn't do the math and just looked at the raw number. I will now put myself in a five minute timeout.

Kind of off thread, but three of “The View” hosts now claim Trump never had COVID.

That also begs the question, how many of those almost 8 million "confirmed" cases (in the US) actually had COVID?
