That was actually kind of funny.
He was right in that science has been able to do amazing and wonderful (and terrible) things. Science has brought us things today that would have appeared to be magic in the past. I love and respect good science.
But the problem is when science becomes politicized, and when people begin to think that science and scientists are infallible. In the long run, when science is wrong, they eventually figure that out and correct themselves. When politicians get involved, that method gets corrupted.
I don't know how much global climate change is attributable to man. I think science still has a lot to learn. Al Gore has contributed to the climate change controversy by using it as a profit center.
As for vaccines, we need to eliminate them. They are contributing to overpopulation of weaker genetic strains. And it is overpopulation, not the love of money, that is the root of all evil.

Famous actors and musicians frequently suffer from “situational acquired narcissism” which makes them believe that they know more than the average person about any subject, and, that their beliefs cannot be incorrect. But in reality they are highly focused on their talent and spend very little time doing critical analysis of other subjects, so actually just absorb the opinions of the urban elite culture, rather than do their own critical thinking.
But because they are so talented in their arena, there exists an illusion of credibility on any subject they talk about, especially when emotions are evoked. Musicians are the worst because music directly excites our limbic system, creating a semi-hypnotic state of suggestibility. Because a person is a musical genius, we tend to think he is a genius in other things, and that’s a fallacy. People follow famous musicians in political causes when they are no more informed or deserving than any of the rest of us, but only because we want to believe they’re almost godlike because of their guitar prowess.
