At this point it's pretty much over for the citizens of Australia.
It's been no secret the CCP lust to gain control of Australia for it's resources. The CCP has been steadily infiltrating much of the government, the media and the academic foundations of the country. The recent lockdowns in which people are demanded to remain locked in their homes, and people outside who are caught without papers, the street beatings by police, heavy fines and even prison show just how far gone the country is.
And no one to help them. It won't be much longer until all of Southeast Asia falls to the control of the CCP. Taiwan will be next. South Korea and Japan are targets as well.
Xi and the CCP knew putting in an incompetent buffoon such as Biden, and paying off congressional members and governors would open them up to massive global expansion.

That’s not normal policing. That’s when you dehumanize someone for their political beliefs, in this case the belief that they shouldn’t be imprisoned in their own home.

This is way worse than the persecution during the Red Scare, which of course caught up a lot of innocent non-communists. It’s worse than the Salem witch trials which didn’t devastate entire economies. It might be worse than the Spanish Inquisition which again, only tortured and killed individuals, didn’t shut down the whole economy. It isn’t worse than the Holocaust but if we keep going it’s going to come close. Millions will die of starvation around the world for supply chain failures due to this lockdown insanity.
This is probably THE most widespread global mass hysteria ever in the history of mankind.

Hence why the communist will not give it up. The continuing bait of "if you just comply" is never going to end.

A lot, for sure. However, based on everywhere I go and everything I see, the mask ninnies are in the vast minority.
Unfortunately, that sliver of the population also tends to hold office around the country, including school boards and other little dictatorships.
Red blooded, freedom loving Americans are wanting to get back to normal.

That’s happening here in Wisconsin. In one school board a group of parents successfully recalled 4 school board members. They were called and chastised by “political consultants” for doing it incorrectly, but they fucking did it themselves.
This is what “consent of the governed” looks like.

China has been quietly working on Australia for years as they want the resources. Afghanistan borders China, and also has resources the Chinese need. China now has both right where they want them.
China's next move will be Taiwan, then onto the countries that border the South China Sea. After that, Korea and Japan.
The CCP has neutered the US and no longer need worry about an American intervention or aid to countries it desires. The US has started it's decline much along the lines of the British Empire.
-
I agree with you on Taiwan and North Korea. Probably Vietnam next as they are not completely out of the commie mindset. Along with the rest of SE Asia: Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Burma (whatever it's called now). That's a very unstable region and they will welcome the "stability" that comes with Chinese rule. Philippines and Indonesia are totally messed up and will be next. I think Japan will hold out. South Korea for a while but they will fall. The Chinese will buy Australia like they are buying the US.
I hope y'all like chop suey and bat.

The Domino Theory was real and we rightly fought against it. Now, they've just updated it with health and climate change fear. What are you going to do about it? I'm not going to sit in a retirement community and linger on. I'm going to Valley Forge.

True, we rightly fought against it.
The only problem is that we fought it wrongly.
An A10 spots an enemy convoy at location x/y and calls it in.
Squadron Commander pushes it up the ladder to Saigon.
Request goes to Washington.
Eventually Washington OKs a strike at position x/y.
A10 pilot advises that the convoy is now 200 clicks north.
Squadron orders strike at location x/y as approved.
A bunch of trees and a Saola are blown to smithereens and the A10 returns home after a successful mission.

My husband is dealing with exactly that in the civilian corporate world right now. He can’t let a contractor set a portajohn at the plant without running it up the chain of command, holding meetings, outlining safety protocols, drawing diagrams, and getting approval from corporate headquarters. The contractor could have been done with the whole job before he gets permission to locate the porta potty.

You don’t know how dangerous it could be if a porta potty was 100’ too far away. Someone might get some stomach discomfort, sir. The astronauts could wear diapers so they didn’t have the same problems as the PPUs.
(Porta Potty Users for you unsophisticated dolts who don’t understand our need to keep workers comfortable.)

I don’t dispute that the porta potty needs to be the right distance away. Not so far as to cause PPUs to not make it there in time, yet not so close as to have others hearing (and smelling) all what you’re doing in there. It also can’t interfere with the comings and goings of materials and supplies or otherwise cause a problem in the work flow or normal plant operations. And I’m sure it needs to be placed properly on a secure surface. But it’s not rocket surgery.
The question can and should be resolved with a 5 minute conversation between the contractor and the project manager. The theme here seems to be micromanagement. The larger and more bureaucratic an organization, the less it trusts the boots on the ground to make decisions on their own. Why bother paying my husband, who has 45 years of engineering and construction management experience, the big bucks for his talent, if they’re going to treat him like a kindergartner who can’t tie his own shoes by himself?
-
people tend to forget that it's easier (and waaaaaay quicker) to ask for forgiveness than get permission.

Agreed. I ran an airshow for 3 years. I had 6 chairmen in charge of various areas. They had people beneath them. And I still got called about where I want the porta potties, how we can get power to the food vendors, where the snow fences should go up, etc.
No one likes making decisions, so they delegate upwards. Companies have now gotten used to centralizing power, because decentralized power is scary for people.
Your husband is the victim of decades of this upwards delegation; companies are simply not used to people being bold enough as to have a strong opinion for where a fucking porta potty should be.

Or people just get sick of "Peter Principle" managers criticizing them if they take bold or risky initiative. I found myself a victim of this back when I worked in the corporate world. After punting technical question up the line and implementing their stupid answers, and getting predictable results, I was allowed to start making those decisions for them. But that won't happen in politics.

Premier Daniel Andrews says Vaccinated citizens in the state of Victoria will be allowed out of lockdown in the near future, but the Unvaccinated will remain in lockdown isolation.
‘To protect the health system, we’ve got everybody locked down, and we’re going to move to a situation where to protect the health system we’re going to LOCK OUT people who are not vaccinated. If you’re making the choice not to get vaccinated, then you’re making the wrong choice.”

Residents in apartment blocks locked-down by NSW Health are having their alcohol deliveries policed as part of a policy to limit the number of drinks being consumed each day.
NSW Health has imposed rules limiting people in “NSW Health controlled buildings” to a certain amount of alcohol each day in a bid to “ensure the safety of health staff and residents”.
Mission Australia’s Common Ground building in Camperdown is the latest building where occupants are subjected to the harsh rules.
Residents of the social housing estate have complained that care packages sent by friends and relatives have been searched before they are delivered.
“They are searching all bags and things coming into the building … They confiscated a series of gifts. So things like bottles of spirits, we weren’t allowed to have those and we still (aren’t),” Common Ground resident Robin Elhaj said.
Residents are allowed to receive a ration of one of the following: six beers or pre-mixed drinks, one bottle of wine, or one 375ml bottle of spirits.
Excess alcohol is being confiscated until lockdown rules are lifted.
Residents can consult with a clinician if they think they need more than the allowed limit.
A Sydney Local Health District spokeswoman confirmed the limits are in place in NSW Health’s Special Health Accomodation, where Covid-positive patients and close contacts are sent for isolation.
However it is unclear what powers NSW Health has to limit the delivery of alcohol to people isolating in their own homes; public health orders do not mention alcohol limits.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said Police officers are not confiscating alcohol delivered to residential buildings, and do not have powers to do so.
“In all residential lockdown locations, NSW Police are there to ensure compliance with the Public Health Orders and assist NSW Health if required,” the Police spokeswoman said.
A spokeswoman for the Sydney Local Health District said when NSW Health took control of apartment buildings for the purposes of limiting the spread of coronavirus, the buildings became subject to alcohol consumption restrictions.

I’m proud to say that we know what us Wisconsinites have been doing during the last year - drinking.
Wisconsin has always had a drinking culture, but even with bars and restaurants closing down, somehow liquor taxes rose 17% year over year.
