I see tonight they're just going to go ahead and tear down statues themselves. What's next, take George Washington off the dollar bill because he owned slaves? The left wants to erase all the early history of this country so they can reconstruct it as they want.
Maybe we should just declare the Constitution null and void because some of the signers were slave owners. My bet is BHO has a lot to do with this as well as Soros.

Rewriting history has been a fundamental part of progressivism. By rewriting they shape history for what they feel it should have been, not what it was. This just lends more credence to their ideology.
Just a few years ago several school systems in heavily liberal areas rewrote the history curriculums so not to teach any American history prior to reconstruction.
And you are right, after this bullshit they will move on to dismantling the founding fathers and disparaging those who crafted the constitution.

These statues have been up over a hundred years in many cases. Why now do they have to be torn down? Why are they so threatening to the left, and the media? Did Lee, or maybe Stonewall Jackson get down off their horses, and start looting like the BLM in Baltimore?
Maybe if the statues offend you, don't look at it when you drive, or walk by?

The police were ordered not to interfere. The goal was to allow chaos and it turns out, even a human sacrifice, to attempt to make Trump look bad. Terry McAuliffe and the Mayor should be the ones taking heat for this, not Trump.

The white supremacists and Nazis were on the park demonstrating, as they had a permit to do. The Antifa folks surrounded the park and then the police decided it needed to shut down and pushed the park demonstrators out into the streets where the Antifa folks were. What did they expect to happen.

Fear. The unstoppable march to the left has been interrupted by Trump. Anything that could potentially be a rallying point, or focus of conservatism must be crushed.
Anger. When you lose, it's common to get angry about the loss of power, and lash out at those who win. Including their statues.
Hate. They can't face the fact that their lives are miserable, and someone else is 'making it'. Success without progressive thought cannot be allowed to flourish, so they hate, and stamp out any signs of a reduction in the sad, and tortured movement to the left.

Whatever she reads on progressive web sites is what she thinks and says. When we talk she is never able to give any detail about what it is she is angry about, only that Trump is a racist and the KKK live in the White House.
After Saturday she was apoplectic but unable to process the photographic evidence of progressive hate groups behaving exactly like the Unite the Right alt-right protestors. She kept circling back to Trump being a racist because she can't imagine independent thought as a way to decide what she thinks.
I blame the educational system and the monolithic thought control imposed by the democrats and their slaves in the media.
Of course the pussies in congress and on the courts make everything much worse.

That must drive you nuts. I agree, our Education system is to blame. Since the 1960's, but ferociously in the 1970's, our schools have become liberal/progressive indoctrination centers. You basically have to try to de-program them when they get home from schools, but that is very difficult as for some reason they all think their teachers are smarter than you even though many, if not most of us have multiple "real" degrees, and experience. Also, we have jobs, and responsibility, and get little, precious time to try to un-brainwash them.

In the past few days I've had conversations with younger people about current events, and when the subject of the Civil War comes up it's apparent just how little they actually know about it. The typical response is "The southern people were bad and hateful racist who started the war with the north because the north wanted to free the slaves!" When I start discussing actual historical FACTS with them about their misconception they get defensive and just keep saying "racism" and "racist" over and over.
Then tell them about the democrats and how they promoted slavery and fought against civil rights, as well as how the democrats started the KKK. At that point they can't take it anymore.
