Title: A tail of two networks
Post by: Little Joe on April 03, 2019, 12:36:43 PM
CNN vs FOX; can you tell which network each of the following comes from?  (They are both about the same event)

Quote
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, in a historic address to Congress, declared Wednesday that President Trump’s push for NATO allies to increase their defense spending has “had an impact” and made the alliance stronger.

Quote
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell did not consult with the White House when he and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi planned to invite NATO's secretary general to speak before Congress on Wednesday -- a move that multiple congressional and diplomatic sources say they view as a rebuke to President Donald Trump.

I assume both articles are true.  Only the slant is different.

It’s obvious which one is which.

The first reports directly one fact: what General Stoltenberg said.

The second reports a presumed fact: that McConnell and Pelosi did not consult with the WH when inviting the general, and then it reports some secondhand hearsay that multiple unnamed people have an opinion that it represents a rebuke.

The media today has the power to sweep out of view any event or fact that threatens the leftist narrative. I give you the prevailing leftist belief, nay, conviction, that Donald J. Trump is not the duly elected President of the United States of America.

Yes, they do, and that is a huge problem for a free state.  Most people only hear the Leftist narrative, and it gets reinforced daily, and in every facet of our lives.  Often, when the subject of Trump is brought up, one of the Left's main arguments is that he didn't win the popular vote.  Well, that is not how we elect Presidents.  States elect Presidents based upon the vote in each state.  We don't elect a President collectively.  We are a Republic, not the USSR.

Lincoln didn't win the Popular Vote either, and he is revered by the Left and he was also a Republican.
