If we could jettison the L.A. and San Fran metro areas as well as the NYC metro area, no Democrat would ever win again. 

This is where the liberal mindset fails when it comes to business.  They simply cannot comprehend that a business is formed and operated to benefit the owners and produce for them a profit.  The liberals tend to believe businesses are created to provide jobs for the masses. 

Liberal/Progressives only consider (feel) the surface of issues.  Giving other people's money away for dubious reasons makes them feel good.  They never look at the economic, nor social consequences of what looks on the surface as a "nice thing to do".  Trump's message to inner city minorities was that Democrat control, and rule for the past sixty years has made their situation WORSE.  Rewarding people for having multiple children by multiple men does not help their situation.  Rewarding people not to work does not help their situation. 

Over taxing people, and businesses to have the money go to a very, very inefficient government is counterproductive.    Government solutions to every issue are counterproductive.  The administrative, and waste cost of government is way too high. 

Global, corporate business is very complex.  However, at least Trump is talking about retaining, and creating jobs in the U.S.  If he can improve the tax code, and reduce onerous regulations to a reasonable level.  Businesses will stay in the U.S. and grow, but it has to make sense ECONOMICALLY.  Businesses go where they can operate the most efficiently as their only reason for existing is to provide value for their owners (stockholders).  They are NOT employment agencies.

I certainly don't fault GWB from going into Afghanistan and dealing with the Taliban.  His greatest mistake was not finishing off the job in Afghanistan before diverting the majority of US assets to invade Iraq to eliminate WMD that didn't exist and enhance Iranian power in the region.  While he was doing that the Taliban was able to reconstitute and to this day is threatening to return to power in Afghanistan.  So now we have terrorists entrenched in both Iraq and Afghanistan and Syria and Yemen and Somalia after spending trillions and thousands of American soldier lives.  Good job GWB.

Why didn't Obama rectify the situation in Afghanistan, and Iraq over the past eight years?

For the record, the Democrats voted to invade Iraq also, based on Allied intel.  Hillary, Kerry, Schummer, Pelosi, Reid, etc. 

On the contrary, I voted for Gary Johnson.

Who, for excepting a couple of libertarian points is.......a liberal.

The right has been describing the system as rigged against them throughout the election. They regularly complained that leagues of fraudulent voters would nearly guarantee a Democrat victory. And yet we just had the most disliked candidate in modern history become a Republican president.

The system isn't rigged against the GOP. Trump is living proof. But there are many non-partisan problems with the system that I'd love to see fixed.

Just because Trump won doesn't mean the system isn't slanted towards the Democrats.  He just had enough votes to overcome the slant.  This is a landmark election.
