Spin Zone / Re: Impeachment Trial #2
« on: January 25, 2021, 01:54:25 PM »
Because you're afraid they'll find 17 republicans to vote to convict Trump?  I think it's more likely Democrats will suddenly wake up and realize all the negatives they're accruing.

When your enemy is self destructing, get out of their way and encourage them.

Bottom line, they are perfectly in line with the Constitution here.
They are in line with the Constitution only inasmuch as they can make their own senate rules to do whatever they want within the Constitution.

It is NOT a trial as constituted in the Constitution.

Wait until the Useful Idiot Marxists figure out THEY will be paying, losing their jobs and having their cost of living skyrocket.  When they can't charge their Teslas or they are repo'd are they going to still blame Trump?
I just started a new thread on the pity party the unions are throwing because Biden just killed 11,000 Pipeline jobs, including hundreds of them in Wisconsin alone. I hope they fucking choke to death on their betrayal to their union members.

I think he made a really nice speech and if he is able to deliver on it, it will be a good thing.

However, given the people he has appointed as his advisors, I have strong doubts that will be the case.  They pretty much universally are not in line with his sentiments.
Until the democrats drop the hyperbolic fear mongering by talking about white supremacy in EVERY SINGLE SPEECH, with the implications that those “evil” Trump supporters are white supremacists (including the Hispanic and black Trump supporters) he gets no pass by me.

To say he made a really nice speech by demonizing half of the population for an immeasurably small problem, while ignoring the black on black genocide going on in our cities is really troubling. He just HAD to invoke the racial dog whistle, so that race relations continue to diminish and not improve.

Yeah!  Yeah!  Whatabout!  Whatabout!  Whatabout!  My point still stands.  He didn't lose the book deal because he was a conservative.  He did it because he lied about the election and he objected to the election based on the lies.  End of story!
What a troll.

Josh Hawley's book deal wasn't cancelled just for being conservative.  It was cancelled for a baseless challenges to our democratic processes.  He, and other "conservatives" stepped over the line when they made unsupportable and baseless claims that the election was stolen.  This was a direct attack at the republic which was not in fact conservative, but rather authoritarian populism.
You are so full of shit. Direct attack on the Republic?

In 2000 did you call it a direct attack on the Republic when Rep. Alcee Hastings and a dozen other democrats objected to George Bush’s electoral victory?

In 2004 did you call it a direct attack on the Republic when Sen. Barbara Boxer and Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones stopped the electoral count and formally objected to George Bush’s victory?

In 2016 did you call it a direct attack on the Republic when the democrats wanted 12% of Trump’s electors to become faithless electors and vote for Hillary, and Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, supported by Nancy Pelosi, objected to Donald Trump’s victory?

When I call a man a drama queen, it’s a statement of ridicule and derision. In your case, you are LITERALLY a drama queen.

He does have the coughing thing.  I wonder if they have a plan in place to continue on with the EIB after he's gone. I suspect the affiliates would not be happy with the continual stream of guest hosts.
I suspect the EIB will be over. Even the most prolific substitute Mark Stein couldn’t keep up that pace, OR have the insight of Rush, and balance the show between serious facts and humorous absurdity.

He’s one of a kind.

Stan, you beat me to it. Gonna miss that man when he's gone.
Yep. I can’t believe he’s back after Christmas, and he sounds virtually normal. He doesn’t sound tired, or sick, or even unenthusiastic. Yet the end is probably closer than we know.

Typical leftist.  Trial by accusation.  The accusation is serious enough to prove he's guilty, right?
“It’s not the nature of the evidence; it’s the seriousness of the charge.”
