This woman is lucky she wasn't charged with attempted murder. I am not a fan of thieves, but her response was illegal. He was no longer a threat to her, and you can't run somebody over for theft. He was fleeing, and she mowed him down with her SUV. Hormones? :)

A pregnant woman delivered swift punishment to a purse snatcher by running him down with her SUV in a Walmart parking lot in North Carolina, according to a report.
Christine Braswell, 26, told WLOS that she found the man rummaging through her SUV on Wednesday afternoon in Asheville before he took off running with her purse.
“Me being five months pregnant, I chased a little ways then come back, jumped in the car, threw it in gear and come across the curb and ran him over,” she said.
“I was not going to let him get away with it. It’s not right, it’s not fair,” she added.
The suspect, Robert Raines, who was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, was charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny and misdemeanor damage to property.
For her part, Braswell was charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon. She doesn’t face hard labor.

Demand a speedy trial. Demand a jury. go to court with a HYU-GE belly. Get exonerated.

You can in Texas. At least you can shoot them in the back with a gun, I assume you can use any other weapon. Should be legal everywhere. Make examples out of little punks like him maybe there won't be so much theft.

In PA to use potentially lethal force you have to be threatened with imminent violence. I don't know that state laws in NC. You may. Now in your house in PA it is assumed that the person is their to do your harm, so it is more lax. I guarantee this guy will think twice before doing this again.

Stealing people's money and IDs (for identity theft) and creating such harm to them is stealing hours of their life and it is stealing their peace of mind. Yes life is more important and such thugs take a piece of their victim's lives.

If mutually consensual, sexual assault is a wonderful thing. Of course, nowadays, you have to interrupt the proceedings every few seconds to request and obtain clear verbal consent and preferably a signature in writing covering the next step, or you put yourself at legal risk.
