Shouldn't the government mandate testing for sore muscles? Maybe a test for waking up grumpy in the morning... or expected onset tiredness after a hard day.

This is blatant proof our technology has far outpaced our rational brains and is now completely opposed to natural evolutionary processes. It’s completely counterproductive and harmful to collectively behave as we are over a contagious virus that has devolved into another common cold.
Interfering with the natural process of pandemic trajectory which always leads to herd immunity, stasis, or increased robustness of the species through weeding out the weak has resulting in far more devastating harm.
Ever more intrusive scrutiny which of course profits the already rich is not necessarily beneficial to the healthy person just trying to live their life.

For the original un-mutated virus it was likely the case the vaccines stopped or greatly reduced the spread during the first few months after a person was injected.

Hope springs eternal and some people were clearly hoping there was a chance it could be stopped by vaccination if applied widely and fast enough. Medical history has at least one or two crowning achievements in vaccination and several more "pretty dang good" cases of vaccines protecting populations from widespread contagious diseases. This is a case IMHO of a partial success. A bummer it wasn't better. The rate of new cases are up dramatically, the rate of deaths are not. I think the vaccine bought time for many to survive to the endemic period of lowered risk of death.

I didn’t dispute any of that. YOLT said that Kagan said “It stops the spread”, present tense; “stop”. It may slow it, but it doesn’t stop it, and by now there is no excuse not to know that.
