Title: Hillary's way out
Post by: Lucifer on February 18, 2016, 10:32:00 AM
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2268073/Hillary-Clinton-Does-Secretary-State-double-vision-blood-clot-scare.html

Here is my take.  Hillary is positioning herself to bow out of the race "for medical reasons" if she continues to tank. She simply cannot take another "shellacking" such as the one she suffered in 2008.

I don't know if her ego will allow her.  She is obsessed with power, and becoming President even if it means doing Soros's, Saudi, China's, etc bidding.

Yeah, she's been bought and paid for already.  Those folks would be...displeased...should she drop out of the race.

Actually, I agree with lucifer in this case. The coughing gigs are just ... odd. Health is the #1 most graceful reason to step out and retain the belief that you would have won.

Demi's are getting nervous with her as she continues to tank.  They are getting ready to draft Biden as the great hope.

Yeah, his "I'm not running, but if I were, my platform would be..." speech was telling.

The DNCC is already changing the rules to give her more delegates as seen in this article:

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/269879-ap-clinton-shores-up-superdelegate-votes

If she drops out, I tend to think the DNCC will change the rules again to allow Biden to run. During the general election, I see this being a very hard to win election for the Democrats regardless of who the nominee is. I think it would be hilarious if Hillary got the nomination and was then indicted.

The DNC can draft a nominee at the convention.

Let them have at it, then. If the people decide they want Sanders as their nominee and the DNCC decides to pick someone else at the convention, that will only further damage the Democratic party. The Democrats don't want an actual Socialist as the nominee, at least not an open one. Sure, it sounds good to the young voters, but once they get to the general election and the attack ads start, it's likely to backfire. Instead, let's put someone up who is just not an open Socialist (Biden) and appears to be more moderate than Sanders.

Backfire ain't the word. Full on nuclear explosion.  The Sanders people will defect, Bernie may decide to run as an independent and fracture the party.

He's technically an independent but caucuses with Democrats so it wouldn't surprise me if he ran as an independent, though I don't think it's likely. He may do it out of spite if the DNCC decides to give the nomination to Biden instead of Sanders if he wins it.

That's exactly the scenario.

Who's going to finance it?

Do you think that the DNC has a limited bunch of wealthy financiers?

OK, misunderstood you.

Bernie has been raising record donations.  He does have a lot of devoted followers.
