We have now built three houses, and remodeled two.

This last one about killed me.  Not so much fighting, although we had some of that, but between the HUGE price increases and horrible supply chain issues it was awful.

One example.  We ordered our appliances (and paid for them) six months before we needed them.  They barely showed up in time.  In the house a month and the refrigerator dies.  Three service calls from a horrible company and they finally admit it can’t be repaired.  GE says fine we will replace, but it will be March sometime before we can get you a new unit.  Here is $175 to buy a dorm fridge until then :(

We loved the Moose's Tooth, but if you are still there, you HAVE to check out F-Street Station.  We were referred there for the food and only found out that it is an aviation themed restaurant when we got there.  We keep saying we are going to go back to Anchorage just so we can go there again.

Thanks, I have a red eye out late tonight, but hopefully will have some time between meetings today.  Might try to check it out for lunch!

I'm in Anchorage this week to do some training.  It was recommended that I go to Mooses Tooth for pizza and beer.  It was excellent!

Her comment about the 100,000 plus children on ventilators was really bad.  Reality is a very small fraction of that.

You would think a Supreme Court justice would have staff to make sure they have the correct data.

Bongino is off this week as is everyone. I listened to the guy sitting in the Clay & Buck.

He interviewed a female pilot with United or American, can't remember which, who has been furloughed for failing to get vaccinated.  She said that her airline is flying over 300+ cabin attendants from Europe to replace furloughed attendants who refuse the vaccine. The thing is these attendants are not vaccinated and do not have a mandate in Europe. They fly them over work them on routes in the U.S. and then fly them back.

I have no way to verify this, so it could all be B.S.

Michael Berry.  I listen to his show a lot and really like him.  He does a lot for PTSD Veterans out of Houston.

Heard that today from the United Captain.  If that is true they are going to get huge money off of the lawsuit eventually.

I flew a ton this year for work.

I learned to drink my scotch very slowly.  The majority of flight attendents either didn't notice, or more likely didn't care.  A few had a fit so I just smiled and acted dumb.

My nephew is a West Point Graduate.  I went to the Army-Navy game three years in a row when he was a cadet.  Unfortunately Army lost all three games, and the weather was awful, and the game wasn’t that good.

It was, however and absolutely incredible experience.  Watching the cadet and midshipman march out before the game, the fly overs, the commitment of everyone of them was just amazing.  HIGHLY recommend going at least once!

Went to two in Philly and one in Baltimore.  Both did a nice job, but Philly really does a great job.  That town loves the game and treated us really well both times we went.

That is awesome. STEM is the way to go, with all the boomers retiring they should have no trouble remaining employed.

She tried to resist the dark side, but with both parents being engineers she finally had to admit that was just the way her brain was wired.

Now she is having a ball running hoards of geeky engineering boys.

Congrats to you and your great kid! If you haven't, one thing I always tell graduating college kids as they get their 1st job is to immediately sign up for the company 401k, and put in 10% to start. Then, every raise, split that raise with you and your 401k. Get a 4% raise? Up the 401k to 12%, and enjoy the other 2%. Do this every raise, and you will retire well (or even early) without too much pain.

Absolutely.  We have already had that conversation.  Actually we might have done too good of a job.  When she was a freshman in college she was struggling a bit with the adjustment.   She called me at 5:00 am one morning in a panic because she didn't have a 401K setup yet..... :)

My daughter is a Senior in college (Engineering).  She graduates in May and has already accepted a leadership fast track position with a large defense contractor.

We sat her down and said we will pay for tuition and fees, everything else is on you.  We "helped" her a bit, but she has been able to make up everything else with summer jobs, internships and scholarships.

With her new job they are going to pay for her Masters.

Pretty sure she is quite a bit smarter than me....

Was flying back from a fly-in yesterday.  Was a beautiful CAVU day so just flying along not talking to anyone, but monitoring center and gaurd.

About every 10-15 minutes for over three hours someone (different people) would come on guard with "Let's go Brandon".

Wow, I feel dumber for even scanning that article.

Still waiting to see any (real) evidence that masks, as they are worn by the public, do any good.
