Was flying back from a fly-in yesterday. Was a beautiful CAVU day so just flying along not talking to anyone, but monitoring center and gaurd.
About every 10-15 minutes for over three hours someone (different people) would come on guard with "Let's go Brandon".

That’s exactly what I’m thinking. A conservative or at least not leftist black man who assimilates into “white” culture is fine, there have been more of those recently but they’ve always existed, and they’ve tried to bring the black community on board.
But this trend shows that it has now penetrated black culture. That’s the critical tipping point, I believe. Many, maybe most, people of all races don’t pay much attention to politics and kind of mindlessly go along with their peers, which is always based on culture and the social scene. Once the idea of leaving the Democrats is expressed there, it has the potential to spread rapidly throughout the younger generation which is critically important because the younger generation a) makes the music and b) are impressionable; their mindset formed now will influence the community for decades as they age and become set in their ways.
Here’s the thing about Hip Hop and Rap, it has always been about the common man, always about injustice from the elite. That is exactly aligned with Trump populism. The black Hip Hop community is not changing its values, the awakening is about them realizing that the Democrat party does not align with their values. That’s a very important thing to understand.

I watched both videos with intense interest, because I want to understand what has the Airline Executives' toupees askew (from the headlines- I didn't read the articles). Then I see this post and I think: Ah! The cliff-notes, some witty banter and perhaps BOTH sides of the argument!
Afterwards, I tell my wife:
Old white men are excited because they see 2 videos with "Rap dudes" wearing MAGA-ish hats setting the neo party slogan to a rap beat. They think the foot tapping will make Black people all-of-a-sudden WAKE UP and leave the Democratic Party.
(In my best Chappelle voice) Silly White men. Don't they know we're foolish and loyal. Ha ha ha ha ha.
Even the Children of Israel were smart enough to finally leave when God brought The Plague, but here we are, actually witnessing the Biblically prophesied plague of so long ago and still cannot (yet) toss off the shackles, get up and Exodus, stage right.
This is why (my non-melanated brethren), some of my favorite verses from the Holy Quran read like this:

If I’m following you, “here we are witnessing the plague”, you’re talking about all the current disasters? Not only covid but inflation, supply chain problems, the border crisis, Afghanistan, rising gas prices, authoritarian vaccine mandates, etc. So by not “tossing off the shackles” are you referring to still supporting the Democrats (in this case, Biden) despite how hard the country has crashed since he took office?

Black people are (foolishly) chained to the Demon-Cracius party. Like a battered woman, every 2 or 4 years she is taken out to Ruby Tuesday, told she looks pretty and asked to sign some papers for the parole officer. But once the papers are signed, her basic needs are ignored as unnecessary and undeserved and she ends up with bruises and blood and the neighbors are told that it is because she is clumsy.
God wants to take us away from this foolishness. I believe ultimately He wants to make us a free and independent nation, an example of moral and righteous conduct worthy for all nations of the Earth to emulate. I believe that what is happening is God's long game of forcing the divorce. We have to choose: remain in an abusive & lopsided marriage or survival.
...and yes, I also thought the videos were entertaining. But I also considered the following questions:
Who paid for them?
Are these young men prepared for the social backlash that is sure to result?

Totally understandable. It has taken me years to differentiate posters. I myself assume any poster on a pilot forum is a retired white male, because statistically most pilots are white males, and it is the retired that have the time to waste online but maybe I'm wrong about most being retired. I myself still work part time. Pretty sure most are white and male though. At some point I figured out that you were probably not white, but still am not 100% sure, and I suppose I'm still assuming you're male and also not exactly young. If you're black then the statistical odds that you're a Democrat are 90% so I went with that but your post seemed to be saying it's possible you aren't (a Democrat). I think I got the idea you served in the armed forces.
If you want a mental image of me, I'm not saying my age but I first soloed in 1981 if that helps. I'm a college educated white female but I guess statistically that would make me most likely a Democrat too which I am definitely not but neither do I consider myself Republican. I'm not a liberal and I am not a conservative. I look at each issue independently and try to form my position pragmatically.
Bottom line I'm anti-centralized authority, whatever form it takes. Fascism, communism, despotism, socialism, theocracy, etc. All of it is evil because it is anti-freedom of the individual. The only form of government I support is rule by law, which means a Constitution that empowers the people with oversight and control over the government. The economic system I favor is free market economics, what I like to call small business capitalism. Not government-enabled megacorporate power centers like we're seeing with banks, pharmaceuticals, and big tech. These political and economic systems aren't without their problems but there is no perfect system and they're the best mankind has come up with, in my opinion. But right now in the U.S. it looks like we've allowed a centralized authority to arise. Or if it was always there, it's grown way out of control. It's a problem.
Spiritually, I transcend man's religious institutions. A complex subject too big for here.
Race relations is a very complex subject too, I don't have time to do it justice right now. Well I will say this, in the long long long run, I believe races will intermingle until everyone is cafe au lait. Because that is exactly what happens with all species that evolved in separate geographic locations but retained reproductive comingling ability (there's probably a better word for that) and then were rejoined. In prehistoric times man traveled by foot. If you accept the "out of Africa" theory, we all descend from Africa but some went north and their skin became whiter (the better to manufacture vitamin D) and those that stayed near the equator kept dark skin (as protection from UV) but travel was so slow that once separated they didn't mingle with distant populations. Civilization changed all that. Ships, camels, horses, roads, cars, trains and now planes mean we are no longer reproductively isolated so instead of increasingly different with time, that has reversed and we are now beginning to become more alike again.
Unfortunately, that won't do anything to get rid of hatred, oppression and all the other evils attributed to race. There will simply arise other excuses.

That's a very good analogy and I did mostly think that's what you meant. I take it by free and independent nation you mean literally, with borders? Like Israel needed their "home"? Stop depending on the Democrat party and I think you don't mean switch to the Republican party, but rather dump the whole U.S. and form your own country? Well sometimes I think Texas should do that so I can relate.

Good question who paid for them. Does that matter? Would it make it any more or less "propaganda" than any other entertainment? Remember up until July 2020 this same guy was making videos promoting the opposite political viewpoint.
Yes, I worry about the backlash on them. I have a FaceBook friend, a black woman from Nigeria who is an ardent Trump supporter. She says if you could live in Nigeria and compare life there, you would appreciate Trump policies that further employment, low energy prices, strong economy, etc. She recently came to the U.S. out of love for our freedom. I worry intensely that she now faces being censored, criticized, bashed and canceled, and her business harmed, because of her opinions about supporting Trump! A recent immigrant come here with hope. Makes me sick to think of how the U.S. is becoming the opposite of everything she dreamed.
Trump isn't perfect by any means. He's made some mistakes and I disagree with him on some things. But to the extent he was making things better for the common man of all races, I support his policies and Biden is reversing those things. So even if these people face a backlash they're standing up for what is right (in my opinion).

If I recall correctly, we went to the same small high school and you said at one point what year you graduated...or maybe it was just a few years before me. There were 250 students in the school my senior year, 53 in my graduating class.
So the range is somewhere between 18 and social security. ;)

Russell is spot on here. I do take issue with him saying neither Biden nor Trump care about ordinary people. He REALLY does not grasp the economic workings of Trump policy inside America but since he’s a foreigner I’m prepared to forgive him, as long as he continues to keep an open mind.
But he is spot on about the massive hypocrisy from the media and the left, and that criticism of government no matter who is in charge is a fundamental right.

SO, why am I calling 'WOKENESS' a cult?
Well, first lets start by defining what the term woke even means. It's a term that been around for a very long time but has (in my eyes) lost all of it's credibility and meaning in recent years.
Woke: a term embedded in US Black History and social justice which originally meant being aware, well-informed, and up to date with what was happening within the community.
"Stay woke became a watch word in parts of the black community for those who considered themselves self-aware, questioning the dominant paradigm, and striving for something better" - and these are the sentiments I will always stand for, however...
This is NOT how it's playing out these days, and you can read this interesting article to get a timeline of how it's evolved over the years, and I'll continue sharing with you the specific pockets of 'wokeness' and social justice that I have divorced myself from.
I can no longer be an active participant in any culture or movement that encourages groupthink, outrage on demand, fear and violence, revamped segregation, fabricating history, cancellations masked as accountability, self-centredness...
normalisation of racism towards white people, the disempowerment of black people masked as social justice, the constant redefining of existing language, ignoring self-responsibility, constant pathologizing, oppressed vs oppressor mentality, and the pressure to conform and comply...
It's exhausting.
And honestly, I have better things to do with my time.
Not to mention, it's killing us.
