An internal report presented to Chinese President Xi Jinping and other top leaders concludes that global anti-China sentiment is at a level not seen since the 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown, and recommends preparing for a worst-case scenario of armed conflict with the United States, according to Reuters, citing people familiar with the content of the document.
The report, created by the China Institutes of Contemporary Internal Relations (CICIR) – which is affiliated with the Ministry of State Security – suggests that the wave of anti-China sentiment is led by the United States, which sees China’s rise as a global superpower as a threat to Western democracies.

China is in economic decline. The communist government there will do anything to halt the decline and put them back on the road to global dominance.
But many in our government say China is no threat, and we are being unfair to them.

How else will they continue to sell a military budget that represents something over 70% of their total budget.

If war is necessary then fight to win, not to lose fewer young men than the other guy.

War is not necessary with China.
China needs a worldwide market to sell it's crap merchandise. Without customers, China collapses economically, and that collapses it's military as well.
The sure way to defeat China is to cut off their markets and stop buying their inferior merchandise.

Many of us are short sighted. Me included sometimes. Also Americans demand instant gratification and today even a quarter's stock performance is considered "long term". Unreal I know. Trump is the first President in my lifetime that is trying to level the TRADE Playing Field with China and other countries that have been eating our lunch since WWII.
We have huge leverage over China in our Markets for their goods. Trump is using them to get better Trade deals. What do the Democrats and their idiot Progressive followers say? Orange Man Bad.

Aaaaaargh. Just thinking about him sends my blood pressure through the roof.
I'll never forget when his body was lain in state and crowds of people lined up to view him. A news reporter asked a guy in line why he was there. His answer was classic. "I always wanted to see this man dead".
The other thing I think about when I think of LBJ were all the headlines:
LBJ sends another 300,000 troops to Vietnam. I knew a bunch of those guys.
To this day I regret not enlisting in the service. And to this day I blame LBJ for that. I would have gone if drafted, but my number was 276 and I think they drafted up to 269 that year.
