Spin Zone / Re: ERA ratification?
« on: November 29, 2018, 04:21:23 PM »
Interesting, about registration ... note the transgender rules! Guess the law uses biological gender ... how hateful! How would a ratified ERA affect these rules? “Irregardless of gender, biological or perceived?” Also, am quite surprised that non-citizens must register.

How about we start prosecuting illegal (undocumented per article) aliens for failing to register for selective service?

Two ten foot tall cyclone fences 100 feet apart with a declared "kill zone" between the fences ought to do the job.

I predict the rise in price of canned cola will increase the the sales of fountain colas causing an epidemic of sea turtles with straws stuck in their nose.

I'm sure there will be as many "Way To Go Trump" headlines in the news about this as there were "Sky is Falling" headlines.

Cue the demands for civil war. Liberals are seriously deluded into thinking they a 'right' to all appointments and elections.

Civil war with the half of the country that believes in arming themselves may not be the best plan.

It was brought about because 18 year olds were dying in Viet Nam but could not vote for the national leadership. I was in the US Army in 1968 but could note vote, yet I could go get myself killed in a war.

It lowered the minimum voting age in Federal elections from 21 to 18. IOW one has to be at least 18 to vote in any Federal election. Local election voting age is not addressed in the 26th Amendment. I don't know what would happen if a state tried to raise the minimum voting age in a Federal election.

I understand the why of the 26th, upon reading it I don't see where it sets the minimum age at 18, it appears to say that states can not require someone be older than 18.

In no way do I wish to see anyone under 18 allowed to vote in federal or local elections.

Can't do it in Federal elections:

26th Amendment

They can lower it for local elections only. It will take an Amendment to the Constitution otherwise.

Noah W

Is that what the 26th says? It looks to me as if it only stops states from setting the age higher than 18.

I hope I'm missing something.

No, it's the fault of the NKA (National Knife Association).   And just think of all of those "assault knives" in the hands of civilians.  Time for confiscation.

Sporks for everyone, if we can save just one life..........

What if this were 8 white kids taking it out on a minority student, is this just bad judgement/schoolyard scuffle?

Simply pointing out the hypocrisy of requiring a personal relationship with the great healer in order to acquire health care with their group policy. I have no problem with beating the system.

This begs the question, do people with a personal relationship to Jesus tend to incur lower healthcare expenses?

McCain on Obamacare August 2016, WTF? Funny, he seemed to care what his constituents in AZ wanted during 2016.
