Stephan Bannon being tapped for White House Senior Advisor role for President-elect Trump.
Will Bannon be a lightening rod of hate, taking heat off of President-elect Trump?
Or does President-elect Trump not give a rat's pitooty about what people think even when his job includes leading the entire country and Bannon could cause significant distraction?
or ??
[edit: I hate autosubsitition of smilies]

Funny, I never heard this term "alt-right" until a couple days ago, when Bannon was appointed. This "white supremacist" tag seems like a smear to me but I only know what I read about him in Wiki, which has roots in divorce filings. Like I'd believe anything from the wife where custody is concerned. Typical lawyer tactics.

I don't think Bannon was a good choice. Not that he should bring in an appeaser to the left, but Bannon is bound to continue and accelerate the divisions that Obama embraced and emboldened. There is also talk about Giuliani having the inside track to Sec State. I am not too keen on that either, but I think that would make more sense than Bannon's appointment did.

Rudy for AG, John Bolton for State.

^^^^This.

Sore losers will almost always grab anything drifting by to pretend outrage and offense. That is all this is.
You would think the party of slavery and lynchings would have learned that shouting racist isn't working quite so well these days.

As I said in another thread, I think Bannon is a bad choice. I do think he's a member of the alt-right, though I don't believe he's racist or an anti-semite. I think he's a globalist who doesn't have the same vision as conservatives, which is why I've said Trump's election could mean a setback for conservatism for a long time. Ben Shapiro wrote an excellent article on Bannon (and discussed it on his podcast yesterday); it's worth the read:

Agreed, these would be great choices.

Bannon is a kind of no-where role, he doesn't have any actual functional responsibility. If he doesn't work out, then I'm sure the president elect will have no problem saying "you're fired" and replacing him. Mr. Trump has shown a great willingness to do exactly that.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make with that article. I've said I don't think Bannon is racist or an anti-semite. Don't confuse what the alt-right is with what people want the alt-right to be or accuse it of being. There is a large difference.

Funny how quickly the media invented the term alt right to demonize the other side for daring to win that election. Now people are suddenly using he term as if it means something.

The term has been around since before the election. I don't know the history of it but it does mean something, which has been described in various places and not just by the left. As I've stated previously, Milo Yiannopoulos has also described it as well.
-
Yep. It means whatever stupdi thing the progressive whiners say it means at any given time... subject to change without notice.

I didn't realize Milo Yiannopoulos was a progressive whiner.

One thing I find interesting, yet confusing, is the folks referring to Bannon as a racist (yes, I know, it's a worn out word still being cycled). Bannon works/ed for Breitbart. Andrew Breitbart was (now deceased) Jewish. How can one be an anti-Semite yet spend years working for a Jewish owned company. This writer would think he'd be outed if he was the racist he's being called out as being.

Why are so many Jews flaming liberals?

Bannon is far from liberal but you probably know that.
I would suspect there are many flaming liberals in most religious sects. The pope was less than supportive of Trump. Since I'm not Catholic I'm not sure how in lock step they are with the pope's comments/suggestions/recommendations/edicts. Guess it depends on the sub-sect of the church??????

Except for birth control and abortion, the Pope is a Marxist who winks at gay marriage.
