Title: FBI agent convicted of assault on 15 year old

The guy creates a problem where none existed, pushes a kid and then pulls a gun on him.  How he's still going to work every day defies logic.

Another case of "I feared for my life."

Many employees in the post 9/11 federal branch has become a totalitarian, regime, with little regard for, and zero understanding of, civil rights.

Evidently many Americans don't care.  They are willing to give up their freedom, liberty, and rights for Kabuki Theater Security.  As long as they have the Kardashians to talk about, then everything is OK in their little bubble.

This is typical cop behavior.

The judge is an asshole.

What am I missing?  The story I read says the cop got convicted of Assault and his career is in jeopardy.

Why is the Judge being disparaged?

He let the fucker keep his firearm and remain free until sentencing. If you or me had done the same thing we'd get 25 to life. He'll probably get an ankle bracelet and 1 year probation.

What's so hard to understand?

Actually, the story had been updated (a lot) since originally posted.

I couldn't draw too many conclusions from the article.  Perhaps I missed something, but I didn't see too many facts.

But let me ask: what was your point for posting?

Are you pointing out that most LEOs are out-of-control, violent bullies?

Should we disband our police forces and hire more social workers?

Aren't you one of the "defenders" of big government? (I really don't know or recall your position on this), but big police forces are an inevitable result of big government.

I think we need fewer laws but we need harsher penalties for violating the laws we do have.
If you are walking down the street smoking a joint, who cares.  We don't need a cop wasting his time on you.
If you are walking down the street accosting people you should get smacked down.

I thought my original post was self-explanatory.  I read it again and it looks to be.  I just thought it was an interesting video and article.  The guy was out of control, yet was able to keep his job as an FBI agent.  How you derived that I thought all cops were bad or we needed bigger government out of that...?

The tone of your post is angst-ridden and I'm not sure where that's coming from.

I suppose my post was written in angst.

There are probably a thousand instances a day where a cop puts his life on the line doing his duty in an honorable way.  Yet you and others choose to pick the rare case where a cop did wrong.  Why is that?

Perhaps I have been to too many cop friend funerals. (that means two total, which was two too many).

John I hope that I can speak for the sentiment over the last couple years- it's not the cops per-se that is the source of the angst but the corrupt system that turns them against the citizenry with impunity; the cops are jus the instruments that the people see. The real Satan hides his hand.

The police have a really tough job.  I think most of them are good, but we just hear about the bad ones.  I do think they've become too militarized with too many SWAT like responses to normal stuff, and MRAP's etc.

Another lying, racist criminal disparaging the police.
