The Republicans are going to try to pass this bill in the House, again, today. They're saying they have the votes this time. Even if they do, it'll be a much tougher fight in the Senate. I hope the entire thing fails because it's not an Obamacare "repeal and replace" bill at all.
WASHINGTON, May 4 (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives was set on Thursday for a cliffhanger vote to repeal Obamacare, as Republican leaders worked to deliver President Donald Trump a win for one of his top legislative priorities.
House Republican leaders have expressed confidence the bill would pass and several party moderates who previously objected to it got behind it on Wednesday, giving the effort new momentum.

If this bill is signed into law, the Republicans will not care about repealing Obamacare at all. Once Obamacare was injected into the federal government and onto the lives of Americans, it was likely to remain permanently, even if its form was altered. The Republicans are obviously just fine with federal healthcare so long as they are the ones who pass it, not Democrats.

The vote passed and the Republicans were hosted at the White House by the President for a big press conference. The Senate has said the bill is going to face major hurdles in the upper chamber, even so far as some Senators stating that they are going to write a new bill from scratch. There's no telling how long this will take but the Senate has an even slimmer majority than the House does.

There is a never mentioned writer in the pig excrement Obamacare bill that makes it almost impossible to simply repeal it.
The scum bag left stuck it in there and neglected to allow anyone time to fully read or understand it and no w those same scum sucking leeches are pretending it is the republicans fault that they can't kill the beast

What rider are you talking about?

It was inserted by Robert (KKK Grand Wizard and liberal icon) Byrd.
It forces any replacement to have 60 votes in the senate because it only allows the bill to be passed under reconcilliation if EVERY scintilla of the bill can be proven to affect the budget.
The Senate Parliamentarian, I believe that is currently Elizabeth MacDonough, has the sole voice in whether every word of repeal is truly budget altering.
It's a poison pill, that along with $100 BILLION dollars of our money was set aside to institute obamacare even if it was struck down by the courts, which John Roberts refused to find his balls long enough to do.

Every major TV network, and news outlet has pieces on how the poor will now suffer, and the only the rich will get tax cuts. JEEZ they are pathetic.

It's despicable.
I used to tolerate the left, but now I hate it and do not tolerate its adherents. I can't socialize with people who suck up the propaganda.

People talk about "how divided we are", and "we can't have a conversation". Well this type of propaganda destroys the ability to come together because it is all based on lies. The Left doesn't want to have a conversation, they just want CAPITUALTION. Well, I am not capitulating to their far left, radical ideas, and policies. Hillary lost, get over it lefties!

When a leftist can't win on facts, which is pretty much ALWAYS, they immediately resort to lies and pretense, because the movement is based on lies and pretense, so why fight itself?

No surprise there. I'm no fan of this bill but the House did pass it without the CBO scoring it. They were in such a hurry to pass something that they didn't even wait for people to look at it. Paul Ryan likely saved his job by getting this bill passed.
The House Freedom Caucus even admitted that this wasn't the bill they wanted but it was a step in the right direction and they'd at least get behind it now.

I believe Pence can over rule the Parliamentarian.

If so then the GOP lawyers don't know it.
It is always hard for the party that tries to do things legally, when the democrats only care about getting their way.

The CBO released its scoring of the bill today. From the Daily Wire:
Here’s the bottom line: the bill is revenue neutral, so it can be passed through reconciliation. It gives both sides their talking points: Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) is already touting the statement that premiums could drop and that it will save the government money; Democrats are already touting the drop in number covered as well as the possible effects on the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions. Not much has changed here. But both sides will now retrench politically as the Senate considers moving forward.

We'll see what the Senate does but they're likely to make massive changes to the bill. Hopefully they do, and for the better, because this bill isn't all that great.
