...There are over THREE BILLION rolls of toilet paper in stock in various warehouses around America.
If the chinese stop manufacturing it we have YEARS of time to ramp up manufacturing before there is none left.
It's all about logistics after that.

I thought our TP was made in America?

I thought our TP was made in America?
That was my understanding, per this story:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/the-fundamentals-of-our-toilet-paper-pipeline-remain-strong/ar-BB11hy59 (https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/the-fundamentals-of-our-toilet-paper-pipeline-remain-strong/ar-BB11hy59)
“ Since toilet paper is a relatively low-cost and high-bulk item — low value-density, in economics terms — there’s little incentive for manufacturers to ship products long distances or overseas. America imports a higher percentage of its toilet paper than most other nations, according to 2017 UN statistics, but those imports only amount to 9% of the total U.S. supply, with the majority of that coming from Canada and Mexico.”

Yeah the problem isn’t lack of rolls, it’s getting it to the stores and then people buying it out in the first hour of the day because everybody is hoarding.
Actually the Chinese do sell us toilet paper as it turns out. Last night I was able to find it on Amazon.com, but it got one star and I’m not buying any.

For some reason I have the theme song for the short lived, two season, Chuck Connors series in the mid 60's, "Branded" running through my head.

You're Seinfeld Foo is strong these days Rush! I have a huge crush on the girl in that episode, Jamie Gertz. Seinfeld always had the great chicks, but there was always something wrong! lol!

I went back to my 1968 Star Trek era "data banks", and I remember it going:
Stranded!
Stuck on the toilet bowl.....
What do you do when you stranded and don't have a roll.......

I never knew the origination of the tune/parody until now, 50 years after we used to sing this in elementary school.

I remember the Chuck Connor series "Branded" and used to watch it religiously as a kid, as I did his previous series, "The Rifleman", so I was a huge Connors fan. We only had three channels VHF and two, then eventually three UHF. Not much for a kid to watch.

Yep and Jerry has to break up with them because they eat their peas one at a time with a fork, or they have man hands, or have an irritating laugh, or look gorgeous one minute and ugly the next when the lighting changes. So funny.

Wow. I think we’re contemporaries, but I never saw that show. I would have like to see it.

The show was only on for two seasons, and I don't think many people remember it. They always associate Chuck Connors with The Rifleman which ran much, much longer.

I remember watching it religiously. Even my sister watched it, and one day she said she thought they were saying "Brandy, what do you do if your Brandy". She had a dog named Brandy at the time.
