I've been reading up on the concept ammonia engine.
Toyota seems to to think they will have one in production soon.
Has anyone looked into it?

Never heard of such a thing. I didn't even know that ammonia was combustible. I couldn't make it through the Toyota ads to see if the video actually talked about how it worked. But poking around, it seems that it is, plus it's used as a carrier for hydrogen for hydrogen fuel cells. Interesting stuff. Some points... ammonia has an energy density 1/3 that of diesel. And it's 120 octane. I'll have to do some more reading....
Of course anhydrous ammonia (which this is) is often stolen off of farms to make meth.

I'd love to know if it is cost efficient, because zero emission would shut up a bunch of know-nothing, pain-in-the-ass liberals.
What a great way to shove a sharp stick up opec's ass. Take away their income and they have a muchharder time outsourcing their terrorist buddies.

When it does burn, it is a carbon-free emission and produces zero CO2, zero hydrocarbons, and zero soot. Don't celebrate yet, without an engine using a high compression ratio or boost, it does release a lot of nitrogen into the atmosphere which leads to ammonia and ozone being made in the atmosphere which can lead to acid rain and impair our ability to breathe.
Never mind that the air is already 80% nitrogen.

California must have solicited this innovation because the smell of the exhaust will match and mask the overwhelming smell of urine on the streets of Cali.

Big auto would hate engines that challenge their model and require innovation to keep up.
As much as they funnel to the big guy I’d imagine he would hate it, too, especially after his masters told him he hated it.
