“Looting” has NEVER been associated with race in my mind. The people making it racist are the people saying it’s a racist term. Why should I think it’s racist until YOU tell me it’s racist, and why are you saying it’s racist if YOU weren’t the one associating looting with blacks? I associate the term with catastrophe. They do have a point there. The Biden administration is a complete catastrophe as is California in general:
"The penal code defines looting as ‘theft or burglary...during a ‘state of emergency,’ ‘local emergency,’ or ‘evacuation order’ resulting from an earthquake, fire, flood, riot or other natural or manmade disaster.'"
They have been telling us we are in a state of emergency due to covid for almost two years now, and the resulting disaster is absolutely manmade. So, “looting” applies, according to their own penal code.

Last night on "The Five" the lefty they had, Jessica Tarlov, was actually upset about all the looting and said call it what they want, it it looting. I think some of the more moderate Democrats are beginning to see through some of this shit.

Didn’t one of them recently purchase a handgun and take lessons? And suddenly sees the point of second amendment right to self defense?
The Kommunist far left may have finally gone too far by sanctioning rioting and looting. A lot of independents and more sane Democrats are starting to wake up, at least if only on one issue at a time, but that’s a start.

Not to pick a nit, but it’s a natural right to self-defense, and the Second Amendment simply guarantees our right to keep and bear arms.

Absolutely. I seem to recall having a debate years ago (possibly with Steingar but I don’t recall) here or on POA about this. They were adamant that no such rights exist but for their existence in the Bill of Rights. In other words, it’s the government that grants rights, and we have no such rights if not for the government.
I don’t know how people can get to the point of having such a twisted view of natural rights, yet on the other hand believe the “right” to kill your baby is “enshrined” in the Constitution.

Bill Clinton was one I can think of off the top of my head. Bernie Sanders was another, and he was one of their star pupils.
Most of them went into education and began the subtle transformation of education into a communist propaganda project.
Once the fuckwad, draft draft dodging school teachers started deliberately twisting the constitution, the rest became easy.

I’ve posted this before but I have a letter written in the early 1970s to my father, who was a professor, by another professor who was forced out of a Minnesota university and blacklisted by a cabal of leftists - self admitted communists - who had taken over beginning in the 60s and were systematically rooting out those who didn’t agree with them.
