I have always disliked that notion and the idea of going around and having to do these certain things before you die. Often as a tourist essentially. I always personally find it better to seriously pursue an interest if one has it.
So for example, become a pilot and learn to fly aerobatics, rather than have flying a loop in a biplane on your “bucket list”. Yes that takes longer than some Disneyland like ride, but at least to me is much more meaningful.

My bucket list is simply get rid of all my junk so my kids don’t have to deal with it. I’m dreading dealing with my mother’s house…
