And is anyone willing to venture where CBS got their orders from? Catherine Herridge is one of the few journalist with integrity and has done her research. Someone is very frightened of her.

Wouldn't it be proper for the company to seize a fired employee's files? They are company property, developed on company time, with company money. They belong to the company. The firing was totally improper, but I don't have a problem with the company retaining the files.

Except those files contain confidential sources which are protected.
What's happening here is CBS is doing the bidding of the regime in order to side step the law, but even CBS is stepping over the line. This is no different than the Trump prosecutions in which the government now claims that clients can no longer expect attorney-client privilege.
On another note, the leftist news media is cheering the take down of Catherine Herridge, not realizing they are next if they dare step out of line or don't go along with the narrative. Useless idiots.

The identity of the source should remain confidential and with the reporter who is trusted with that information. The files, etc. belong to the company. But any identifying information needs to stay with the reporter even if that reporter is fired. If that trust is betrayed, then that betrayal needs to be broadcast far and wide. No one will ever trust someone from that company again. Same with police confidential informants, doctor / patient, lawyer / client, and so on.
