Agree. But apparently a lot of Democrats are seeing the light with respect to authoritarianism. They might not be becoming far right conservative but they seem to be rejecting the current drive for power among the left.

I’m not going to sell her as a GOP politician, but the political world could use more Tulsi’s and fewer Liz Cheneys.

I too disagree with her stance on 2A, but how does that make her a phony, other than perhaps the fact that she may have carried a weapon during her military service?

I was going to ask the same thing. She’s not trying to be a Republican. She seems genuine in everything she says, at least to me. That’s true whether I agree with her (i.e. she’s against most foreign intervention) or I don’t. (I.e. 2A)

Maybe it comes from voting Republican since Reagan’s election in 1980, but I trust no politician, particularly ones they talk a good game and then turn. The Tea Party caucus is a shell of what it could have been.

20 years ago when I was in Tokyo, some of the girls there used to dye their hair blonde, wear 12 inch soled boots and outrageous clothes, and be annoying in general. They couldn't walk up and down steps by themselves, so would link arms together. Like up to 10 people together. You make one fall, they all fell. It was a fun game, and being assigned to the embassy, we enjoyed a certain amount of diplomatic immunity. But anyone over 30 laughed when they took a tumble. Getting them to fall in the subway was the best. They used to have a special name, but I forgot it.

A little thread drift here, but if women want to be taken seriously and treated equally, they should give up make-up and hair dye. If they want to use those tools to gain an advantage, have at it, but don't blame men for viewing you as a sex object. As Dilbert once said, he'll stop lying when women stop using make-up.
That said, I have no problem with women that want to be viewed as a sex object, but I'm probably not going to make them President of my company, or Vice President of the United States for that matter.
