Title: Bernie Sanders’s Feud With the Democratic Leadership Heats Up
Post by: LevelWing on May 22, 2016, 09:27:19 AM
Quote from: New York Times
Doubling down on his feud with the Democratic Party leadership, Senator Bernie Sanders said that if elected president, he will not reappoint Democratic National Committee chairwoman, Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida.

He made the comments during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper that is set to air on Sunday. Mr. Sanders also said he was supporting Tim Canova, a law professor who has begun an insurgent campaign against Ms. Wasserman Schultz for her South Florida congressional seat. They will face off in a primary this summer.

The DNC obviously doesn't care about the schism they're creating, at least not currently. Wasserman-Schultz has been in the tank for Hillary from the beginning and has gone out of her way to ensure that Sanders doesn't get the nomination. I wonder how far Sanders will take this when he doesn't get the nomination? Third party run?

Run Bernie, run!! Feel the bern Democrats! In a fantasy world, I see Bernie being so disgusted with the DNC that he splits and starts his own party. Then I see a disgusted conservative emerging late in the race also starting their own party leaving us with four parties and maybe nobody getting a majority. Wouldn't that be interesting??!

Back to our regularly programmed election... Bernie will step in line behind Hillary as he is supposed to and there will be no challenge to Trump from the conservatives. It will be the hopeless garbage we always get.

I don't know that he'd accept it. He's so angry with the DNC and how they've treated him during the campaign that I don't think he'd accept it. He isn't even a Democrat, he's an "independent" but only because "socialist" isn't likely to get him elected. Though I suppose "democrat" and "socialist" are essentially interchangeable these days.

I originally read that as 'I can see Hillary offing Bernie'...is that wrong of me?

If Bernie ends up anywhere near Mena AR in a Beechcraft Baron it is time to be worried.

I was mentally composing your second line as I was reading your first!

Great minds and all that!

The real fear in Democrat/Marxist land is that Bernie Sanders voters will refuse to blindly follow Hilary Clinton's orders to vote for her and that there won't be enough vote fraud to overcome a Trump majority.

Bernie is making a decent show, but he is also BOUGHT AND PAID FOR, so don't look for any drama at the DNC convention or anywhere else.  He won't even go after Hillary's email scandal.

I think that was a calculated move to pander to the Democratic base.  If he thought he would get more votes by attacking her, he would have done so.  Remember, that was early in the primary that he said we were sick and tired of hearing about her email and he was still testing the waters.

He still won't address her email scandal, Benghazi, Bill, and others.

I think not - I have a separate thread where I just posted a prediction - if Obama likes Hillary's VP more then Hillary will get indicted the day after the election and convicted before Jan 20th.  It's much more likely to happen with Sanders as VP.  Obama has not hesitated to use illegal or barely legal means to get what he wants, do you think he would hesitate to use a legal way to put a socialist in the White House?

I first thought of this 3 or 4 days ago and I thought it was crazy.  But the more I think about it, the more rational it becomes.
