Also interesting how the writer avoided (as much as possible) linking the shutdowns to the panic over covid-19

I have also read, and possibly posted it here, that the military is finding it tough to find recruits that can pass the written tests.
Physical tests have been a problem for years with so many obese kids, but since the Covid School shutdowns, the "graduates" can barely Read, Rite or do Rithmatic.

Government run schools are no longer a place to send your kids. Homeschooling or other alternatives are essential today. It is fucking ridiculous that it's become Marxist/Fascist Indoctrination camp. And we pay for it all, in spades. My real estate/property taxes are what my mortgage used to be.
Time for a tax revolt.

I'm all for public education, as long as parents have a choice. But I deplore what government has done to it.

It is the truth. I worked for a public school system. It’s funded by government and it’s controlled by government. They are government schools, period.

100%, and that’s what DeSantis promised to do. The feds should have zero input into education, which happens at the LOCAL level. It’s paid for by taxes charged at the state and local level. Keep it fucking local.

I'd love for this to happen. Second, bring a case against Public Sector Unions, including Teacher's Unions and make them illegal due to their inherent conflict of interest.
