There are so many of the fucking illegals getting past the border I have to put up with "border patrol" check points in my own country.

You have not lived until the dog "indicates" on your vehicle and they take everything you brought for 4 days in the sand dunes out of your vehicle and spread it out on the side of the road in front of everyone driving by. Then when they don't find anything because there never was anything they tell you you are free to go and wave their hand at your stuff spread all over the place. This was a very unpleasant almost 4 hours by the time I got repacked and loaded.

Secure the border so I am not subject to search based on a stop where everyone is stopped.

Once the wall is complete and assuming it is 100% effective, it will only reduce the flow of illegal aliens by about 33%. That is because about 67% of all illegals arrived legally and overstayed their visas.

At least the visa overstay folks were vetted prior to entry and entered the US thru a port of entry.

The only thing more electronic sensors and drones does without a wall is make it easier to send the welcome wagon, um I mean border patrol to help them out of any trouble they've gotten themselves and families into, along with transportation to a release site in the US.

Build the wall, make it easier for legal workers to cross the border, charge said workers a "border wall surcharge" in addition to any other fees and declare victory. Mexico paying for the wall in installments, it's the american way. Nobody pays up front for anything these days.

Two ten foot tall cyclone fences 100 feet apart with a declared "kill zone" between the fences ought to do the job.

A piss-poor poll.  I've never been a fan of things like this anyway, designed to make the population look dumber than it reallly is.  And I already thing it's pretty bad.

The ones that irk me the most are things like "70% of the population can't do 8th grade math".   To be fair, I haven't had to do 8th grade math since 8th grade and certainly don't remember most of what I learned back then.  Same with chemistry, history, geography, etc.  Everyone has their own area of interest.  I wouldn't expect an expert in math to remember much from his 8th grade history class.

As for the constitution, I know the basics, but am not a scholar in that area by any means.  And then putting the words into actual practice would be impossible for me.  If I'm stopped at a DUI checkpoint the cop could pretty much tell me anything and I'm not skilled enough to know if he's lying.

I'm smart enough to know that 1A only refers to the gov't interfering with my free speech.  And I disagree with the way so many amendments are twisted.  How stop and frisk is legal boggles the mind.

Don't get me wrong.  I'm still standing by my assertion that the average citizen is a blooming idiot.  But I don't think this poll helps prove my point.

At least your post confirms your assertion. :D

The first amendment, that's mainly the "right to not be offended" isn't it? ::) ::) ::)

There would be a lot less jobs "no american would want to do" if we quit paying so many people to sit home on their ass. I have cleaned toilets and mowed lawns to feed my family in the past. (heck, I cleaned the nasty shop toilet the other day, just to show the guys I'm not above it and maybe motivate them to not feel the same)  Funny how hunger will motivate people to work. We do not need to import labor to do the dirty work in the US we need to motivate the non producers already here.

Interesting that the same people who don't want to keep score at little league baseball (can't have winners/losers in a game) are themselves poor losers.

I wonder how far this line of thinking would go if we substitute "right to vote" for right to "bear arms"?

And yet, until now, have never published an editorial taking a position in a presidential election.

No doubt, they must really be worried that Hillary can't pull it off.

You'll note she said that she regrets saying "half", I think that means she meant "all".

It's about time someone does something about all the murders and terrorist activities perpetrated by social security recipients with a representative payee.

Maybe someone with better google fu than I will have better luck putting a number to the amount of gun crimes these people commit in a year, for some reason I can't figure out I'm having a hard time finding them.
