Looks like a bad hit is coming, whether at my house, or farther north.

I’ve spent the week cutting plywood, securing the house and generally getting ready for another long time without electricity.

Prayers are going up for any of you in harms’ way.

I went out for sand bags today. My front doors  face the Intra Coastal waterway and I’m concerned about storm surge.

Hurricanes can be truly terrible.

I’ll be organizing a relief drive thru our church as soon as we figure out where this thing will go. After Michael I’ll never underestimate the power of water again.

To all my Florida friends:

Be safe. I can’t afford to go to 30 baby showers next June because you lost power in September.

LOL, my firstborn is a direct result of Gloria. The storm, not the chick.

Hurricane babies, blizzard babies, blackout babies.... my last one was a 'the doctor says we cannot have another one' baby.
