I am happy to note that there is now a website with reviews of DPEs which have been gathered from around the web.

Kathryn’s Report

http://www.kathrynsreport.com/2021/09/piper-pa-28r-200-n3906x-fatal-accident.html

Some speculation on fuel exhaustion after detour around mountains.

Could have obtained fuel at either Colorado City or Kanab if true. RIP.

A different news article identifies it as a PA-28R.

https://www.abc15.com/news/state/plane-crashes-near-page-arizona-investigation-underway

PAGE, AZ — An investigation is underway after a plane crashed in the Page, Arizona, area on Wednesday night.

Officials say a single-engine Piper 28 aircraft went down west of Page.

At about 5:30 p.m. the Coconino County Sheriff's Office responded to the Paria Plateau area, west of Page.

Deputies from the Page and Fredonia substations responded to the area for reports of a private aircraft crash involving one death and one survivor.

CCSO recieved a call from the Page Airport reporting that a plane originating from San Martin, California had crashed while heading toward the Page Airport.

Just hoping to build up more traffic here.

The main thing that would help a lot would be a faster server. Right now if someone new comes over I think they would be put off by the long delays at times to post.

The rest of these are suggestions for things which would be nice.

I was going to post some photos from a recent flight for people's enjoyment, but it seems the size of total attachments is limited to 1 MB which is quite limiting. Can we get more space and throughput for the forum?

Pilot Zone / SW PilotSpin fly-in brunch - Saturday October 23, 2021

We will have a fly-in brunch at Susie's Skyway Restaurant in Prescott AZ (KPRC). Arrivals starting around 10 AM. Transient parking is at Legends Aviation on the SW side of the field. A shuttle to Susie's is available. Fuel is available both there at the FBO from the truck and for a reduced price from the self-serve pumps on the NW side of the runways. Nearby Cottonwood (P52) usually has some of the best fuel prices.

From PoA:

“I didn't see or hear this one, but I was less than twenty miles at the time. No deaths, but sounds like the instructor and student got pretty beat up.”

You only need to register with the IRS if you want to officially be a 501 non-profit, in order to allow your contributors to claim a tax deduction.

I suspect the average person thinks they work. I mean it does honesty intuitively seem like it should work. And after all this message of mask up has even been on road signs incessantly over the last year.

Politicians inherently want to think that the use of government power, or forcible coercion, can fix the problem and that they can then be useful.

So when the it really seems like to should work and the data are not easily clear to people, their subconscious instinct will be to try and forcibly control.
