He is near Seattle and owns an old tug boat that he lives on. I've met Henning twice. He had his 310 hangared at KLZU. Flew him to Greenville, SC once to have lunch and lunch with him at KLZU the day before he headed to OSH and had his gear up accident in the 310

I think I met him once but not sure. My memory is fuzzy. We met up with some board members, probably back on the AOPA board (Henning was there too, no?), no, it might have been POA, they co-existed for a while, for a hundred dollar hamburger somewhere, can’t even remember where. In NC or VA or SC somewhere I think. Like 5 or 6 of us and one was a guy that was very entertaining and animated, kind of medium build with lightish coloring, like dark blond or very light brown hair? Does that sound like him?

Barefoot. He even flew barefoot with us in our 172. My wife was a new pilot at the time and he was giving her tips on leaning the engine. Funny, he would tell her the same thing I did but she believed him.
