Biden's team built a fake set of the WH for TV recordings. Not clear why they didn't use the original, maybe someone else had it already booked.

I read a couple of possible reasons for the fake White House set. It’s across the street from the real White House.
People entering the real White House have to sign in and thus go on record as visiting the fake president. At the fake White House there is no record, and so fewer opportunities for damning exposes later of nefarious or questionable visitors having access to the fake leader of the becoming-less-free world.
The contrast between the gravitas of the real White House setting and the shuffling, confused, weird fake president is too great. It reminds people of the energetic vitality and presence there of President Trump. So they put the fake president in a more neutral (fake) setting to make him look better and blend with his surroundings.

There’s no resemblance in the architecture on that set to the actual Oval Oriface. Maybe they are pretending it’s some other place in the White House, but they can’t even pretend that this was meant to look like the Oval. Not even any carpeting like the Oval.
