It's not that they can't help but twist the truth to push the progressive line of bullshit, but then they put out pathetic lies to excuse their partisanship.
The lie:
Snopes, a left-leaning fact-checking website given preferential treatment by Facebook and Google, botched its fact-check of a viral meme that was mocked within political circles for spreading false information.
The meme showed a picture of President Donald Trump with Republican lawmakers and members of his administration following the House’s vote to repeal Obamacare in 2017. Thirty-three people in the photo Snopes used had a red X over their face, though it cropped out a 34th person included in others.
The Stupid lie lying about the lie.
“Although memes are frequently grossly inaccurate, this one got the general idea correct,” Palma nevertheless wrote. “By our count, at least 34 Republican legislators who voted to repeal or partially repeal Obamacare will not be returning to Congress when the new session begins in January 2019.”
Then the lie, lying about lying about the lie.
Snopes, which has struggled with accuracy in the past, did not inform its readers of the update.
Snopes co-founder David Mikkelson defended the inaccurate fact check in an email to TheDCNF.
“The overall point offered by the meme in question is that some 33 Republican members of Congress who voted to repeal the ACA lost their seats. And as our fact check documents, that point is correct,” Mikkelson wrote.
Typical democrat (communist) concept of truth. Lie about lying and then lie about lying about the lie until lose interest.

Fox News is one of the largest journalism-oriented media outlets. Tribune media owns more local TV stations than an other entity, it is rabidly conservative. I just don't know where you get this.

Fox News is a joke in size, and viewership/readership compared to all of the above. Let's see. CNN, NBC, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, all the major newspapers (NYT, Washpo, etc) AP, Reuters, Google, Facebook, Yahoo, MSN, Twitter, and more.
All local news is LIBERAL/PROGRESSIVE. Have you watched your local news?

It has.
Fox News is being run by the Murdoch brothers who are very liberal. Slowly they have been weeding out the conservatives on the network.
They are not fools, they do realize that they have an audience, and they enjoy high ratings in the evening. High ratings equals more money from advertisers. If they were to gut that segment their profits would plummet.
Give them time, they will eventually be just another MSM outlet.

The problem with the snopes couple, is that they are long time, deeply committed hilary and bill lovers, neither has even a bit of investigative training, or background, and they pretend constantly to be the arbiter of the truth.
They're kind of symptomatic of liberalism as a whole.
