The first time I really noticed Hillary was when she was First "Lady". You can tell she was uncomfortable with the role. When interviewed by a reporter in the WH, I believe about her universal healthcare initiative (which failed miserably) she responded, "What do you think I'm going to do, stay at home and bake cookies?". Clearly a slap in the face to the American woman who made the decision to stay home and raise kids, etc.
The first time I really noticed Michelle Obama was when she made the comment, "The first time I've been proud of my country was when they elected my Husband President". Clearly, a disparaging remark to the country which meant she really hated America up until that point.
Both these "women" are horror shows, and propped up by the MEDIA as some kind of groundbreaking heroes. That alone should tell you how liberal/progressive 95%+ of our MEDIA has become.

I didn't even know about that. I don't go to the movies, and I don't watch newer TV shows, one nice thing about cutting the cable. Still the propaganda seeps through somehow anyway. It is pervasive.
The other fact that is very obvious are corporate advertising through TV commercials which I do see occasionally when I watch pro and college sports on occasion. TV commercials are now obsessed with Virtue Signaling to women, and young girls in addition to minorities. Most TV commercial now feature some kind of "empowerment" message to girls and woman. Often seemingly single parent, women run households. Also, I see a very high number of mixed race relationships and marriages in TV commercials. I have no problem with mixed races, but it is the same issue I have with how the media promotes GAYS. They make the numbers look huge, and are obviously trying to mainstream alternative lifestyles or at least make it seem that way to get points from those groups and white liberal/progressives.
It is very CONDESCENDING to women and minorities, and if I were either, I'd be very insulted.

I clearly remember the first time I saw Bill and Hill on television when he was campaigning. At that moment I really knew nothing about them, but I had a deep impression of something really wrong; I felt actual repulsion, which is rare for me. That impression grew over time and when he was elected and re-elected I felt deep disgust and sorrow, which I know now was for our nation and the eroding of our connection to the eternal verities, a kind of sinking into a pit of valuelessness.
George W. Bush didn’t always well please me but with his inauguration it seemed some of the values slipped back into place, and the precious balance of power we enjoy in America had swung back again.
But the repulsion and cold dread came roaring back in 2006 when first I saw video of then-Senator Obama and his wife. I knew he would be president; it felt utterly inevitable, and it happened. When he was re-elected my husband and I were silent and just looked at one another for several minutes. We slowly began to share our feeling of hopelessness, like a point had been reached from which there would be no return.
Obama and his wife have never generated anything in me but sheer disgust and fear ... fear of the National Enquirer electorate that would fawn over and adore these empty people. That is when I saw clearly for the first time that liberal handlers were bearing down hard on the empty suit, the pawn, the impression and not the substance. That is perfectly visible in the 2020 candidates they are floating.
I try to be sympathetic; what I felt and feel about the Clintons and Obamas is how liberals today feel about President Trump. Their feelings are as real as mine. I don’t know how to break this impasse they have created with their silencing of any discussion.

What you describe has had and is having its pervasive, metronomic effect. By “empowering” girls and women we are just as surely de-empowering men. From “Father Knows Best” to the hapless bumbling father Homer Simpson in just one generation.
My stepson observed that when women step in and take over as leaders, men step back. He implied that men may be more likely to take the path of least resistance.
Life has mathematical aspects, like an equation. You can’t promote something that contains the seeds of severe dysfunction without de-promoting that which is functional.

I, as a woman who was both a successful engineer in the man’s world and a stay at home mom baking cookies (in sequence), was deeply offended at that comment of hers. She doesn’t speak for me and the feminists don’t speak for me.
