Crocodile tears accompany his useless gun "control" feel-good edicts. Unfortunately only law-abiders will suffer under yet another un-Constitutional act from the Subversive in Chief.

Obama has defiled the
Office of President of the United States. He is a filthy tyrant that needs to be removed from office.
-
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.
What part of "shall not be infringed" is unclear?

I thought it was intellectually dishonest to couch his actions under the guise of "doing something" about recent tragedies...
...without mentioning that the actions he took today would have had zero deterrent effect on those tragedies.
GA waives background checks for concealed permit holders, since the check occurs when you apply for that permit. I wonder if today's Executive Order will affect that.
-
I thought it was intellectually dishonest to couch his actions under the guise of "doing something" about recent tragedies...
It was also dishonest to say that a convicted felon can go online and purchase a gun without a background check:
"A violent felon can buy the exact same weapon over the Internet with no background check, no questions asked."
That's not true. Firearms must be transferred to an FFL. Failure to do so will result in the seller losing their FFL and possible criminal consequences.
...without mentioning that the actions he took today would have had zero deterrent effect on those tragedies.
Correct. The weapons in the San Bernardino attack and Newtown were purchased legally. In fact, more times than not, weapons used in tragedies like this are purchased legally.

Same with Arizona.

Politifact parsed his words and rated them "mostly true":

That's splitting hairs. While what was said may have been "mostly true", he chose those words to make it seem as if violent felons have the same access to weapons as non-felons and it's easy for them to do so, especially over the internet.

good grief. "mostly true" is bulls**t. By the same moronic thinking, people can buy underage slaves over the internet no questions asked.

You and Eddie are spot on. I saw a clip of his "tearful" speech where he mentioned buying a gun on line without a background check. I literally yelled at the TV. What a lying sack of shit.

I love that vetting done by the Fourth Estate. Stunning in-depth research of a
Presidential candidate.
Unfucking believable.

The proof is in the pudding, either the Congress stands up to him or they don't - my money is red meat speeches (like Rollover Ryan's tantrum today) but I expect no actual challenge to the action, they having been brow beaten by the ministry-of-truth/lapdog media.
That leaves it to the NRA who are also brow-beaten by the constant barrage from the ministry-of-truth/lapdog media - so probably more right things said, but not enough action.
There might be court challenges but they won't reach the Supremes until after he is gone by which time the damage will have been done.
And given the record of the Roberts Court I would not hang my hat on them getting it right.
'Gimp

Obama hates the 2A, and our natural right to have guns. He believes government should be all powerful because it knows better. Well government is just made up of people, often people that are political hacks. Let them compete in the private sector and see what it is like. Many are just parasites, and we are to trust them with our RIGHTS? Really? No thanks.

John Lott was on Mark Levin's show last week, I believe. Lott was a visiting professor and fellow at the University of Chicago. Guess who else was there in an adjunct role?
Lott said that Obama told him point blank that he didn't believe that people should be able to own guns.
And this was in the late 1990s. The tiger didn't change his stripes.

Of course not. He would've never gotten elected had he run on a gun confiscation campaign. Instead they word it as "common sense gun safety measures" to make those who disagree look like they're against gun safety.

Show me some "common sense gun safety measures" and I'll get behind them.
Banning cosmetic features? nope, that's not common sense, rather it is irrational
Banning 11+ round mags? Nope, that's not common sense, rather it is irrational
Banning semi-autos? Nope, that's not common sense, rather it is irrational

Obama, all Dems, and the anti legally owned gun lobby, use the terms "common sense", and "reasonable" to lie to the average person that doesn't really pay attention after they hear those terms. It is used to neutralize opposition similar to the MMGW mantra that the facts are settled, and the debate is over.
What Obama, Hillary, and the Dems want is Australian style gun confiscation. They have already said it. This is purely to make us even more dependent on a government THEY CONTROL.
-
The real agenda is to disarm citizens, for the sake of more and bigger government.
The health care takeover was all about control, and nothing about costs, or access, and everyone pretending otherwise is lying through their teeth.
The day health care rationing takes complete control of the system, decisions will be made by bureaucrats, empowered by progressives, who will vet you for political purity, as far as your access to care is concerned. Imagine how docile you would be if your wife were dying and you had to prove your political loyalty to get her care...

It's stunning that most people can't see that. The strong arm of the IRS was used to limit pro-conservative voices in the last election, and no one has gone to prison. Why would it be different for healthcare?

Of course with personal weapons gone, our country becomes a big target for takeover by any number of our enemies.

Well that's not going to happen unless we get two more far left judges on the SCOTUS.

Which is more likely than not if we get Hillary.
