This just appeared in the local paper's web site:
https://www.news-journalonline.com/news/20181029/republican-party-headquarters-vandalized-by-gunfire-in-volusia
I then searched to see who else is carrying it, and lo and behold, much to my surprise, I found a link to the NY Times:
https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2018/10/12/us/ap-ny-campaign-office-vandalized.html
I was quite amazed they would be carrying it, but when I tried to bring up the page, this is what I found:

This news-agency article is no longer available on nytimes.com.

Well, you need to understand how this works. The NYT is a news organization. The fact that some highly partisan Dems used firearms to shoot up a Republican campaign office does not qualify as 'news' worthy. It's just a matter of editing content for the limited amount of space they have. Of course, electrons in an online media are expensive.

Maybe they're busy covering the mail bombs, the shooting at the synagogue in Pittsburgh, and the school shooting in Charlotte. Vandalism even if done with guns is pretty minor in comparison. So maybe they decided not to cover it.
Or maybe they did cover it:

How prominent would it by in NYT if a DNC campaign facility had been shot up? 7/24/365 in person coverage, first banner, first page, bold 36pt font, flashing red, and voice over screeching woman with constant updates every 2 min.

Well, I seem to recall the firebombing of a GOP office here in NC getting a fair amount of attention from the national media in 2016. I think it really does depend on how busy of a news day it is.
