I hope Cruz starts getting more traction.  I think he is, and is an anti establishment Republican.

Cruz is a brilliant man. I worry that he is too far-Right to get elected, though. In that case all Hillary would have to do is stop trying to out-Bernie herself, and she'd squeak by.

You heard me right.

Even though I am a Libertarian, why did I do it? A few reasons:

1) I need to be able to vote in next year's primaries. The Democrats will have Hillary, and the primary vote will hardly matter on that side.
2) I can still vote Libertarian in the general election.
3) As a Libertarian voting in the Republican Primaries, I can choose the candidate that best represents my Libertarian views (though there aren't many who seem truly Libertarian).

I feel good.

For me its girls, planes, trains, and automobiles. . . .

Just joshin you!  But, of course you knew that.   ;D

Haha, I did.  ;)

This really did bother me.

First, it is better to wait a few hours to get the facts. Second, at a time like this, people are nervous. Why not attempt to comfort them and remind them America is strong?

I have been a vegetarian for 25 years.

Is that how long you've liked men too?

 ;D

Speaking for what is certain to be a vegetarian minority...

...I think mushrooms are a rough equivalent in our world.

No need for snarky, sarcastic comments on vegetarianism, but they seem pretty inevitable.

I have been a vegetarian for 25 years.

I'm sorry.   :(

I don't mind. What I do mind now is that I have gone vegan. This is real work. My doc said I can either try that (since I already exercise and sleep well), or get on medication now. We will see how this goes. . . .

Anyone remember North Korea? Is everything all copacetic there now? Hope the "Great Leader" isn't taking advantage of the media silence.

Spin Zone / Re: Twenty-Six states Refuse Syrian"Refugees"
« on: November 24, 2015, 07:53:01 PM »
Starting with Michegan, 26 states have refused President Obama's scheme to resettle Syrian "refugees" in their states. Shepherd Smith at Foxnews is going apoplectic over this as well as a host of progressives in and out of government.
The President clear said that ISiS was not a danger, so why is he so firmly demanding these "refugees" are in such peril? If ISIS is not a problem, how come the "refugees" aren't being sent home?
The whole scheme is a traitorous conspiracy to move future democrat voters into states that can be changed over to insure the democrats don't get their asses kicked next November, at the peril of bringing gin tens of thousands of violent terrorists along with them.
Typical progressive logic.

Apologize if my comments repeat previous ones (haven't read them), but here they are:

1) I think that, at least, a pause is prudent.
2) 10,000 refugees is a lot, but nothing compared to what Europe is dealing with.
3) Having stated 2), it is important to note that America is the prime target.
4) It is easier to get into the US in almost any other way than as a refugee.
5) We should also look at the ISIS inspired kooks who are already here.

So, aside from the FBI, whom do you think can defeat her?

Spin Zone / Re: Islamic attacks in Paris - What Say You?
« on: November 14, 2015, 01:55:38 PM »
I don't think we are yet sure if this was ISIS, but we can essentially be sure that it is one of the radical Islamic terrorist groups.

French President has locked down the country, and closed the borders. This is proper.

What say I? I say that we find those responsible for both executing and planning this, through thorough police and Interpol work, and very swiftly eliminate them. Don't make a spectacle out of it--that might martyr them, and encourage more to join their cause. In general, find all the terrorists we can, and liquidate them until there is nothing left but a website who's domain name is about to expire.

Before you answer, consider that most voters know very little, and simply go on gut feeling or instinct.

I think only Carson or Fiorina could beat Hillary. Carson, because he is soft spoken and considerate. All the other men would be perceived--however wrongly--to be attacking her. Fiorina could beat Hillary because she is smart, and she can get as nasty as she likes, but never be accused of beating up on a woman.

I like those choices. I also think Ted Cruz has a distinct ability to explain the benefits of conservatism; he can also eviscerate Hillary in a debate.

One that honestly is surprising me is someone I vowed never to support - Chris Christy. He has been powerful in these debates, without being idiotic. I could get behind him.

It is funny, because I had thought from the beginning that Christie and Jeb would be the front runners. Christie is both brilliant as well as good at thinking on his feet.

Spin Zone / Re: Observations on FBN's GOP Debate

As to winners and losers, I'd say that most basically held their position.

I think Kasich is done, and will drop out in a few days. I also expect Jindal and Graham (who, of course, didn't even get to debate) to withdraw.

I think Christie was excellent in the undercard, and will move up.

Despite attempts to destroy Rand Paul, I think he holds his ground, but doesn't progress.

I watched the first debate, and thought Christie won handily.  I could get behind him.

Also the moderators were great.

The most important observation, perhaps, is that the debates were fare more professional and informative than the ridiculous CNBC debates.
