GOOD! I hope they do send it to the Senate. Then the Democrats will say that it is just the GOP blocking Trump's impeachment, but at this point most of America realizes this is just another hoax and scam, just like man made climate change.

On a slightly different topic, it's no longer "climate change." Not scary enough and everyone knows that the climate always changes. Now it's "climate chaos" or "climate emergency."

But we just saw that three out of four legal scholars agree that Trump's impeachment is totally legitimate. It's a done deal. Case closed.
If it goes to trial in the Senate and isn't dismissed out of hand, I'm worried about how it will be spun by the Democrats and MSM (same thing (tm)). The nasty Senate Republicans are getting revenge or something while totally ignoring what's actually said in the Senate trial. The truth will come out, but I'm afraid that it will not spread.

And that's the "strategy" of the dims.
They want to campaign against an "impeached" president. So far in the "hearings" they have a treasure trove of sound bits and carefully selected lines from depositions to turn into campaign ads. The senate trial will be the icing, because then they can claim "those evil republicans" wouldn't remove this "crooked president".
Of course, this will cost the House in 2020 as 31 dims in heavy red districts will be tossed out if they vote for this Schitt Show. But the progressive's don't care. Remove Trump at any cost, even their own.
TDS is real. And liberalism is a mental disorder.

But I am afraid certain people don't even see the country anymore as consisting of two equal parts (which it actually is) but rather see it as "normal people" (urban, liberal, Dem) and "a cult minority" (Trump voters, conservatives, Rep, racist, homophobic, etc.).
If they cannot see that their side isn't the normal majority, then they cannot see that the MSM's reporting is biased in any way. They actually believe it is objective journalism.

There is no doubt Republicans have a penchant for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, and I’m worried too. But I think McConnell now realizes his success is tied to Trump’s success, and the GOP voter’s wrath against Republicans who fuck this up or abandon Trump will be a bloodbath of epic proportions. So that gives me comfort.

I’ve been following true crime stories lately. I am appalled at a terrifying emerging trend... law enforcement not only gains access to all your google searches and cell tower pings, and transcripts of all your texts (even if you delete them off your phone), and everything on your Facebook account, they release all that stuff to the public! They also access your DNA and if you haven’t sent it in to ancestry.com, they identify you through your relatives’ DNA.
You might say well they need a warrant and they’re just going after criminals. No, they are going after suspects, and they are collecting and releasing information about innocent witnesses too.

I halfway expect Democrats to back off and not impeach him now. The damage is done, why give Republicans a chance to fix it. Smart move would be for Republicans to vote for impeachment to get it into the Senate
If it does go to the Senate, I expect that we will hear from all the witnesses who weren't called before. I expect we'll hear all about how the current witnesses don't know anything factual. Then we'll hear facts from those who weren't called before and the whole Democrat scheme goes up in flames.

Rush Limbaugh: This is something they have been planning regardless of substance. They are doing this because Trump won. Now, look, folks, I understand. I understand the need that some people feel to refute every charge the Democrats make, such as the president… But here’s how futile it is.
Let’s take a look at the phone call. The transcript of the phone call’s been released. There’s nothing criminal or impeachable in the phone call. And everybody who’s read the transcript knows that that’s the case. And yet what are the Democrats doing? The Democrats are fabricating! They’re literally lying. They’re making up what the president said on that call. And the media is amplifying it. And our side is duly reacting to it and duly responding to it.
Well, you have to respond to it. The way to respond to it is not to accept their premise. The way to respond to it is accuse ’em of doing what they’re doing. They are making things up. They are fulfilling a political objective they’ve had since the moment they realized they’d lost the election in November of 2016. The impeachment of Donald Trump is not because he’s a bad president. It’s not because he’s broken the law. It’s not because he’s committed any impeachable offense.
It’s because they don’t like him. It’s because they hate him. It’s because they hate you. I mean, going back and forth on the phone call is kind of futile. It’s a futile exercise, because it’s not gonna change the way the media and the Democrats are reporting it or talking about it. They’re gonna keep lying about it. They’re gonna keep making up things about it. They’re gonna keep going back to Russia because that’s where they really think the gold mine still is.
Do you realize, folks, that I have heard there may be, in one of the articles of impeachment, that Trump committed an impeachable offense when he told a joke about asking the Russians to find Hillary’s emails? Now, the moment that happened in the campaign, I remember, he was at Doral. He was down in Miami, and he was just toying with ’em. He was having fun. This is another thing. They have no sense of humor at all, and especially when they are the butt of the joke.
But do you ever see…? These three witnesses, did you ever see any of them smile? They’re not happy. They are permanently, constantly enraged. Even when they win, they are permanently, constantly enraged. Because nothing is ever enough for them because they don’t want this country to be a representative republic. They don’t want you to have a choice.
They don’t want you to have the chance to reject them. They are offended they have to run for election. They are offended the American people have a say in whether or not they run things. Do not doubt me. They are that arrogant. They are that hate-filled. They resent everything about this country that can result in them losing. That would mean they resent elections. They resent votes.

I'm on the fence as to if they will send it to the Senate for the reasons you state. At this point they can just say the GOP will block the impeachment for purely partisan reasons, and claim victory in that Trump was impeached. I hope it does go to the Senate.

If they actually vote and impeach, do they then get to decide if it goes to the Senate, or would a vote for impeachment automatically go to the Senate?
I'm thinking they will merely vote to censure the President. That will get their point across without the Senate having anything to say about it.
I can't wait till Nov 4. Either Trump will win, or we can begin our own impeachment watch.

If they vote for Articles of Impeachment it automatically goes to the Senate. If they vote for Censure, then of course it does not, so you may be correct. Censure is meaningless to me, but they can get the Media to drum it up into some horrible thing.
So who would be a better President than Trump? Biden? Bernie? Warren? Gay Pete? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha,...........
