Spin Zone / Re: Schumer wants Trump to help out with Gun Control
« on: October 02, 2019, 09:03:06 AM »
"We're gonna fuck you over, but in the mean time, could you help us get this passed?"

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bethbaumann/2019/09/30/schumer-is-so-delusional-he-wants-trump-to-work-on-gun-control-despite-dems-impeachment-inquiry-n2553947
Republicans universally believe that if they would only cooperate and make nice with democrats, people will like them and the democrats will reciprocate.

Universally, except for Trump.  As a novice politician, he COMPLETELY understands that the democrats will give no quarter to the cooperative Republicans, and will continue to work towards their destruction.

When will the rank and file GOP get their head out of their ass and see this?

This is were the republicans fail.
If it was me I would say sure let's start this, the first person I want to interview is Biden. Then play this nice recorded clip https://youtu.be/Q0_AqpdwqK4?t=3098
Of course the republicans seem to always just role over and let the Dems play dirty.

Sent from my iPad . Squirrel!!
This is why a second term for Trump is so critical to our Republic. The Republicans need to find their testicles, and Trump is the only guy who has any chance of making that happen. Otherwise they will wallow as the minority party forever.

My God, the deep state is desperate to stop Trump from exposing their underbelly and depriving them of power.

I would NOT be surprised if Donald Trump suffered an attack from inside the deep state. Poisoning. Mystery illness. Accident. I just have a bad feeling about this.

Is it me, or did this Ukraine thing happen in about 8 seconds?

3 years of special council investigations and constant impeachment threats and they got nothing.

1 story a few days ago about a possible whistleblower and THAT is all it takes to begin impeachment proceedings?

What the fuck is really going on here?

Look what the other hand is doing.

Unless the speaker in name only, Pelosi introduces a vote to the floor for impeachment, the democrats can't proceed forward.   They can give it fancy names such as "Impeachment Inquiry" but in reality that has zero force, and they can't use that to force the president to do anything.

Nancy knows if she calls a vote (btw, the vote must have articles of impeachment attached, which they don't have) the vote will fail and the real speaker and her squad will go into meltdown and rage.
You think the vote will fail in the House?

Interesting. I think there Is a good chance of that myself. Of course the MSM is just saying it will fail in the Senate because of eeeeevil GOP control, ignoring the fact that some dem representatives are wise enough to know that an impeachment trial will guarantee a Trump landslide.

Pelosi just guaranteed a landslide victory for Trump in 2020.

The people are sick and tired at the swamp trying to overturn the results of the 2016 election.

and President Trump could be polite and diplomatic with his tweets.
Why? Is he going to get an “atta boy” from the democrats and the MSM if he is congenial in his tweets?

Not on your life.

I used to want this like you.  I’m over it and love his tweets.

It’s not going to happen. The complacency has taken over, we now have a generation that’s afraid to get their feelings hurt. We also have a huge swath of the population that likes “free stuff” and don’t have a clue as to where the money comes from.

If we didn’t have an armed population, it would have already ended.  Thus the constant hammering on gun control and outright confiscation.
I disagree.

Have you seen and heard the crowds at Trump rallies?

Look at this chart. Then look below at the magnitude of the contributions. The ordinary Americans are breaking for Trump big time.

Bernie is an all out communist, and makes no apologies for it.

Warren is a psycho serial liar.

Biden is losing it, and will be in memory care in a year or two.  Plus, after 5 decades in politics, he has nothing to show for it.

The rest of the group are pure psychotic losers.

Put me down as "none of the above.

It’s true y’all pile on Michael. I do too but try to avoid personal insults. If it were me alone on a forum of liberals I wouldn’t stick it out as long as he has.
Point taken, but I also agree with Anthony. His responses are usually is self-inflicted.

I will say that threatening to take his ball and run home is nothing but being a drama queen.

Once again I do apologize for disrupting your echo chamber.  I will do my best to refrain from doing so in the future.

I might do that too.  But since we don't have open primaries in Florida, I will have to switch party affiliation to D.  That will be so embarrassing.  But maybe my in-laws will love me again (as long as I don't tell them my motives).
I think if you buy skinny jeans and sport a man bun and scraggly facial hair I think you’d be able to pull it off.

We required any young man who wanted to court our daughters to carry a gun. I can’t imagine why any parent wouldn’t.
With the pussification of many young men these days (since you had a daughter you must have noticed they young men don’t court any more, they’re too cowardly to call girls, etc.) how did you find ANY they carried a gun?

When balancing rights, there needs to be actual justification for restricting someone's right, yes?

Why do you think your right to tell anyone not bring it to your establishment supercedes their right to defend themselves?

And what benefit do you think you achieve by creating a Gun Free Zone?  In your wildest imagination, do you think a bad guy is going to see a Gun Free Zone sign and turn away from your establishment?
Eppy has a point. When it comes to MY property, I have every right to say you can’t bring in a gun, an ugly chick, or a unicorn. That doesn’t mean you can’t defend yourself. It means you don’t have to come to my property if you don’t want.

My firm says employees are not allowed to bring weapons into any of our offices. They get to make the rules. It’s up to me to decide whether I wish to comply, quit, or violate them.

However, I typically think of gun free zones as something in public places, like schools, government buildings, the street, etc.  I DO think that those laws violate the Second Amendment.
