Entirely redundant. The old system worked fine to bottle up the news of Hunter Biden's laptop.

Isn't Hunter Biden now claiming gun control laws are unconstitutional?

I'm actually hoping Hunter Biden wins that.

AG Ken Paxton impeached?
Acquitted.  16 votes to acquit. 14 votes to convict. 21 votes needed to convict.

  Senators serve 6 years.
To be on the safe side, no one over 30.

Tyrannies or trannies?  I can see where both would apply.
I thought he meant one of these.  I got this photo of the critter while riding a train in the Black Hills.

When a dictator arrest his political foes and outlaws opposition parties, it’s rather easy to get parliament to go along with him.
I think you're supposed to repeat your claims three times to make them come true.

One of the co-founders of Tesla left the company to found Redwood Materials Inc. that recycles EV batteries. It appears there is money to be made in recycling them.

There have been millions of discarded cars over the years, so disposal issues for EVs don't appear to be particular unique or demanding on the environment.

It's really sad that government EV subsidies and outright outlawing of ICE vehicles has perverted the free market for EVs.  Technically EVs have some nice advantages over ICE vehicles regardless of the alleged climate impacts.  But who wants to cause government assholes to think their dictates worked, thus encouraging them to issue more dictates?

Spin Zone / Re: HURRICANE IDALIA - Where to Help
« on: August 29, 2023, 08:45:13 PM »
Idalia has spent more time over hot water and now looks like it will come ashore above Cedar Key at 130 or a bit more.

Cedar key will be pretty much decimated if the storm does what it is looking like.

I volunteer on a river watch and we helped pull boats out of the water much of the day and evening, between storm bands and lots of people evacuated ahead of what’s coming.

A friend helped me and we got our steel storm shutters up early today and last night.  With the whole house generator we are feeling like we will be well situated to help the neighbors plug extensions in and run over to their refrigerators.

The worst will hit about 3-7 AM unless things change. Our power grid isn’t all that modern and will go pretty fast.
Luck favors the prepared, and sounds like you are, but good luck anyway!

Keep in mind, the president typically doesn’t do his own research and depends on staffers.

We all know (now) there were a lot of people out to sabotage Trump in his administration.
True.  I do remember when he also said about a month earlier "We can’t let the cure be worse than the problem itself".

I believe he has to be charged with violating a specific Federal law in Federal court:

In other words he would first need to get his day in court to defend against that charge.

This next election will be decided in PA, WI, MI, GA and AZ.   Unless the corruption is not rooted out, the race is already decided.
Georgia election laws have been improved.
Drop boxes at least were ruled illegal in Wisconsin.
Battles over the laws continue in some of the other states you mention, some obviously badly.

The argument that Republicans aren't doing anything is incorrect once one does some research.

The first governor to push back against Fauci & Company was … Ron DeSantis. He saw something that Trump did not.
Kristi Noem gets no respect.

You can be a condescending jerk Jim, and I'm saying that nicely.  So if you support Trump, you're just an idol worshipping CULTIST? Thanks for painting me and others with an insultingly, broad brush.

And, oh, by the way, you're wrong wrong AGAIN.
Supporting Trump because he is the only candidate that meets your criteria is one thing, and lots of people fall into that, but then why personal attacks against any candidate not Trump because they are not Trump?  I can quote posts where the argument is that anyone not Trump is unworthy simply because they aren't Trump - and all other contenders are establishment tools.  I've posted info showing that Trump has accepted money from establishment types but that is brushed aside while with any other candidate doing the same is branded as a unipartyist.

I'm not saying you're a cultist, just that perhaps you and bunch of others here are now emotionally invested in one person and engage in selective rationalization, and I'm saying that nicely.

Sorry if I hold loopy ideas and insult others after I constantly get insulted for holding contrary ideas. But that's the great thing about an unmoderated forum.
