Highly doubtful. Hillary is more likely to not participate at all (and cite something like Trump isn't a serious candidate and thus isn't worth debating or something along those lines) than Trump.

When Hillary gets elected, I am going to blame the GOP and most particularly the tea party section of the party that is my-way-or-the-highway rigidity.  They cling to the notion that they are a majority in this country and that if others like them went to the polls a deeply conservative GOP candidate would be elected President.  This borders on delusional.  The truth is that low voter turn out helps the conservatives.  If everyone eligible went to the polls, we would have a Dem in the White House and a Dem Congress too.  Thank god they don't all turn out.

Unless the Conservatives in this country abandon their magical thinking that the only way they lose is through a media conspiracy, which doesn't exist, they are going to keep the GOP split and the Dems will rule.  They need to lose the divisive social crap and focus on small federal government and state's rights.  With the latter, they might actually get some of their social goals.  With the Dems in control, they will get nothing.  Half a loaf is better than none.

This is another important component of the Progressive (i.e., Communist) 100 Year Plan to take over the West.

My only question is why this is surprising.  It has been obvious to the most casual observer for years.

If the progressives (communists) are this blunt about their intentions, then I would suggest that they have - or think they have - the entire structure of several governments sufficiently under their control to protect them from any blow back.
I am thinking about it along the lines of the utter corruption of the FBI by Comey and the complete criminalization of the DOJ by Loretta Lynch when I say that.
Most of our press corps and many of our courts have become the willing slaves to the progressive agenda and now it looks like the election will be hijacked and the corrupt leftists feel certain that they control enough of the government to insulate themselves from any push back.

Gimp, your butt hurt comment is off base and irritating.  I'm sympathetic to the Never Trump folks, but I've never declared myself among them.  I'm over that Cruz didn't win.  But where the butt hurt  resides is the fact that voters have selected the single nominee who has a very good chance of losing to the most corrupt candidate ever to run for the presidency, and he doesn't even seem to be trying to win.

I was not talking to or about you Stan - but I also have exactly zero doubt that Trump is doing better against Hillary than any of the other would-be candidates would have been doing since they would be suffering the same withering fire that Trump is AND they would be doing nothing to counter it - history is crystal clear on that.

Cruz would not be any closer, Rubio would not be closer, make no doubt - the difference is that Trump fights back which is why I feel his candidacy is a blessing if all it does is expose the media and the establishment - and it is also why he will show well and possibly win.

I feel (word chosen specifically) the Trump may be the only candidate who has a chance of beating Hillary who is herself an unconventional candidate insofar as how she has been/will be treated by the media who will essentially be protected by her gender.

You will note, I am not trying to explain what Trump says since I recognize no amount of explanation is going to serve to help anyone who is on the fence or against Trump - the Dems and the media have a strong playbook that is growing ever more effective as people succumb to the coordinated media/pop culture/news/education cartel.

Personally, no.  The seeds for the "founding" of ISIS (or a similar organization) started quite a while ago.  I believe it was indeed inevitable no matter who was President or Secretary of State.  There are so many problems in that region, to lay blame on a single person or Administration is ridiculous and indicates a lack of knowledge of history, demographics and politics.

It was OK when Obama blamed GWB for everything...
